Fox News moderators in the debate accused Paul of taking "Marching orders from Al Qaeda." Arguably the worst moderating I have seen, as Paul ends up having to debate the moderators?!?
During this debate season, Fox News decided to add "cell phone voting" to the post-debate analysis. After the first debate, Ron Paul won the cell phone vote, much to the displeasure of the Fox News pundits (youtube video from that debate here.)
The second Fox News debate was no different. Pundits Hannity and Colmes assure the audience that Ron Paul is winning the poll simply because people are redialing. What is the point of having a poll if people are able to abuse it? Ron Paul supporters, a bit tired of being beaten down by the media, put together this video to debunk the Hannity and Colmes "redialing theory."
I am curious to know if Fox News viewers would like to see each candidate treated fairly, or if they prefer that the newscasters go as far as lying to make some candidates look worse than others.
Well, actually, Billbear, what we are doing in Iraq is to defend this country. Peggy Noonan has gone wobbly.
To quote something taken directly off your profile:
“But when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger: Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.” —Henry V(3.1)”
That’s what we’re doing in the war on terror. Ron Paul is going to lose, big time, and you might as well accept it.
I thought he was west texas. Really, never redistricted or nothing? Okay then napkin, nevermind. :)
What will you say when he comes in 1st or 2nd in NH? Both Iowa and NH are states that grass roots support can be very effective.
Right. Because fighting a war over lost lands and literally established two nations' identity is so much like fighting a war 10,000 miles away to 'spread democracy'....
You dont have to listen to Hannity very much. Hes a broken record.
He’s an a$$kisser that sucks up to some people, too. That bugs me.
“Right. Because fighting a war over lost lands and literally established two nations’ identity is so much like fighting a war 10,000 miles away to ‘spread democracy’....”
The world is a much smaller place now. 10K miles now is far closer than 10K miles in Jefferson’s time.
Do you not listen to the declared goals of Al Qaeda?
You’ve gone so far to the right you’re smackin’ right up against Jack Murtha’s rear end.
Why does ANYone?
His ideas are taking hold this year. Chuck Shumer, Robert Byrd have been in the congress how long?
Ron Paul does come across as a bit “nutty”. You can be against government policy but don’t have to throw a fit expressing yourself.
He doesn’t represent any place in west Texas. Be careful, please, don’t tar us west Texans with Ron Paul.
Now that is a better question.
they are part of the ‘roman’ senate we enjoy these years of plenty, so yeah I tar them with the same stick.

I 'invaded' the GOP in 1964, when I cast my first vote for Goldwater delegates to the Republican National Convention. So when did you invade the party?
Actually, one network reported that it was disproved that his supporters were doing multi-dialing to vote for Paul. Some reporters tried it and was told: “Sorry, you’ve already voted once.”
They were not allowed to vote more than one time.
BTW, I’m not a Ron Paul supporter by any stretch of the imagination.
All of Ron Paul’s anti-globalist credentials were flushed the moment he said “it’s illegal under international law. That’s where I take my marching orders...”
The voting is not phone based, but rather text message based.
Those can be sent via the internet and the Paulistians are running Perl scripts to do just that.
It’s even easier to corrupt than the American Idol voting.
How can you support Tancredo and defend Paul on the charge of being a dhimmi?
I thought that marching orders line was great. Definitely the highlight of the debate for me.
If you think Fox or any of the debate hosts should just play softball with fringe elements like Paul, and act like their wacko ideas are perfectly normal and acceptable, you’re an idiot. He took a position that nobody else at the debate was taking. Why shouldn’t be be called out for it?
