“Hey Chucky. Not only do your comments boarder on treason, you’re ill-informed and a political hack.”

A shot across the bow?

I wouldn't read it that way.

I read it as a sign of respect to the troops.

They should not have any surprises, and should hear everything from the commander.

Before the spin cycle.

From some of our GOP leaders (not all) and from some of our military leaders, like Patraeus, there is a fundamental and superior moral sense of the United States, of who we are, of what we believe and of our responsibilities, to ourselves, to our ideals and to our security that comes through so forcefully in quiet, simple, factual description of issues in Iraq and is so totally absent in the mass-political-agenda driven national division sought by the Dimorat leadership.

We have past the point of no-return for demanding that treason be called-out for what it is, and McPain’s attempt to keep his Kerry-buddies in spite of that truth cannot stand in the way.

I read it as a sign of respect to the troops.

Me, too. Example: in addition to saying what has gone well, he was clear about what hasn't gone as well. He knows better to insult the intelligence of American soldiers.

Sounds like it came out of Woody Hayes’ or Bear Bryant’s playbook: “Three Yards and a Cloud of Dust” grind them down smashmouth style and victory is certain. Heavyweight champs George Foreman and Joe Frazer used the same “pound the body and the head will die” strategy...it works!

I’ve never been in the military, but if I were there, I’d dang sure rather hear ANYTHING, good, bad, or indifferent, from my commanders, than from Katie Couric and Chuckie Schumer, and their ilk.

I meant a shot across the bow (from an Army Guy? What’s with the mixed metaphores?)...

Anyways, a shot across the bow of Congress (Schumer)..er...the Dems (Schumer)...as they (Schumer)are already sniping before anything is said.

Oh...the troops have been told NOT to listen to the lamestream media and you can bet they’ve been told much the same about all their enemies. The congresscritters and the senators.

I read his letter. No surprises. No politics. Simple mission statement as to what must be done, and will be carried out to a successful conclusion over the next two years or so.

The MSM/DNC have given OBL’s tape more respect than this letter from a US General.

Extra prayers for him next week, when he testifies, and comes face to face with the enemy within.

Proving once again they’re our enemies...Our Generals are very tough skinned...they consider them their enemies. They understand they’ve got as many enemies state side as in their combat theaters.

A preemptive strike on congressional ninnies who are attempting to use a former Marine Commandant to load the dice on the surge.

History will have a special reward for the Dems (in general) and Osama Schumer (specifically).

This Marine Dad will neither forget nor forgive the Dems as they so transparently undermine our wonderful Troops and their critical mission.

A good letter. I was pleased to see it wasn’t filled with numbers.
