He was probably headed to Colorado to join up with the Move America Forward Caravan... Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Maybe now's the time for California's Attorney General to come out of the shadows and take control of the situation?

"Wow, what an amateur. I figured hed be in China." He surrendered his passport to make bail, plus...the ChiCom mafia wants him dead.
He got spooked, got poisoned, hopped a train, and made it to a hospital when the poison didn't kill him.
The spin will be turning the hospital's med report into something benign. Break that hack and then you've really got something if you can keep the poor SOB alive long enough to testify...but a pro-Dem prosecutor might cut him a deal behind closed doors that has him spewing a cover story instead.
So the prosecutor angle has to be covered to make him valuable.
Basically, some corrupt Dems have a couple of chances of still skating.

He surrendered his passport to make bail,I thought he did not surrender his passport. IIRC, he was told to but said he "couldn't find it".

rRead the article:
He had been on the lam for almost two days after failing to appear in a Redwood City courtroom Wednesday to surrender his passport.
