THE WORST SHOW IS. . . : The Parents Television Council has declared Fox's "American Dad" the worst show in what once was called family hour, between 7 and 8 p.m. Central time.

The watchdog group says in its annual study of the family-friendly time period - which has been a voluntary concept for the past three decades - that sexual content is up 22.1% since the 2000-'01 season and violence is up 52.4%

I’ve watched American Dad a couple times & don’t recall ever even breaking into a smile. Really dumb show.

Family Guy

American Dad

24

The trifecta of shows that liberals/Democrats hate.
Because, to some degree, they are equal-opportunity offenders.

I learned long ago that whenever the media or entertainment industry put the words "American" or "Jesus" into a show, album, or product name, it's always something obscene, stupid, disgusting, pornographic, or marxist to the core.

Run down the list of such off the top of your head and you'll see what I mean.

Coincidence? I don't think so. They know exactly what they're doing.

“24 will be loved by liberals in the next season with Cherry Jones
and Janeane Garofalo”

“Shooting from the hip”...I’d agree.

BUT, I hope the main-brain behind “24” (Cyrus Whatshisname?) has
gotten them under contractual agreement.

And will turn them into liberal ogres and can’t-hide-their-Anti-Americanism
true colors about 3/4 of the way through the seasons.

Personally, “24” REALLY went lame last year.
BUT, the show, if breathed back to life...might be “politically
correct” to the point of nausea.
And then take a HARD-RIGHT turn towards the end.

I can’t wait for such an outcome.
Jack Bauer better pack a lot of extra clips!!!!!

I think the worst show I tried to watch recently was Hotel Babylon on BBC America. Mind numbingly dull! Mind trying to escape! Must erase from DVR!

American Dad is pretty bad too insofar as it is not entertaining. Family Guy was bad for a while too after it came back but it’s a little better now. I still think it’s not as good as it was though.

Like when they brought Classic Coke back with corn syrup instead of cane sugar.

More likely, Janeane will be killed off or revealed to be a double agent. But will she get a love scene with Kiefer?

Cherry Jones will be the President, and they've already had one ogre President, so I don't think they'll go there, but will the writers have fun with the "lesbian President" angle?

The best scenes on American Dad are when Stan and his daughter’s stoner boyfriend are together scheming something.

My gripe with American Dad, Family Guy, et al, is that they use cartoons that naturally appeal to children to make mature entertainment.

I have five children and my youngest is Molly, 9 years old.
Molly saw a commercial for one of those shows (I think it was Family Guy) while we were watching something else. The commercial showed the father figure in the buff, except for a sock on his privates, cavorting around. Molly looked up to me and asked “Daddy, why do they make cartoons like that for kids that kids don’t want to watch?”

A really good question. So I gave my best fatherly answer “Go ask your mother.”

No! Just joking. I told her that some adults minds are so very small that they can’t think beyond the childish thoughts they had when they were young and just have to use cartoons as a way to make fun of other people.

She thought for a moment and said, in an almost scolding manner, “Tell me when are they going to GROW UP?!?!”

Another really god question.
