WASHINGTON -- It now looks like Sen. Larry Craig is going to leave office after all.
His top spokesman said Thursday that Craig has just about dropped any idea of trying to complete his term, and that he is focused on helping Idaho send a new senator to Washington within a few weeks.

Craig's situation came up in Wednesday night's Republican presidential debate.
Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas and Rep. Duncan Hunter of California both called for his reignation.
"What I think is good about it is that he's taking responsibility in the sense of resigning from office, and I think he ought to stick with that," Brownback said.
Adding that he wanted the Republican party to "get to the bottom of this," Brownback said, "we shouldn't hide people. We shouldn't walk away from family values for fear that instances like this happen within our party."

Craig’s career seems to be just floating with this paper trail on top of him.
He keeps tap dancing around the issue.
I heard he was planning to take a wide stance on global issues, do some diplomatic work and try to successfully negotiate the release of the chocolate hostages.
Good one. See pic above HG. Please add “Specializing in Rear End Collisions”.
I've wondered what the cop working the sting did to get this assignment? Think about it - he was assigned to go sit in an filthy, stinky airport bathroom all day and let gays hit on him.
Wonder if we will ever see that one on Dirty Jobs...
