Unless I missed it, Hunter is the only one with a concrete PLAN on how to achieve victory in Iraq. The others say get out, or do it victoriously, or something equally vague. Hunter is the only one who says HOW. By getting the Iraqi military the experience they need to do the job. Fred Thompson’s ploy of appearing on Leno the same night as the debates was cheesy.

You are right. Thompson...Rudy....Guilani...etc. only offer rhetoric. They offer no solutions. Hunter has a plan. He offers solutions.

Unfortunately, the three front runners once again were devoted the most amount of time. Ron Paul’s answers regarding the war and 9/11 infuriated me. He reminds me of a crazy relative that escaped from the nut house. I could never see myself casting a vote his way.

Yah, I can’t even say that Paul would be a good guy to have a beer with, too abrasive. I can see why he has an active following since he takes an extreme, consequences be damned, idealistic approach. But his policies would cause a genocide in Iraq and a good chance of Iranian dominance in the region.

And Hunter was interviewed dead last of all the candidates by Hanity and Colmes, at close to midnight.

I just really love the people that come on a thread and demand that people vote their way or else. Thanks to you, as far as I’m concerned, Thompson can go to hell.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Fred can go to the place reserved for the Clintons, but I think the Duncan Hunter campaign ought to at least throw a few dollars in Jenny's direction, because at least in this thread, she's successfully energized Hunter supporters while turning OFF people to the idea of Fred Thompson as a candidate. If the Thompson campaign were paying attention here at FR (as does Hunter's campaign!) they would issue the following memo:

To: JennysCool
Fr: Fred Thompson
Re: STOP!

Jenny, I'm presenting myself as a unifier, not a
divider, and look at you: you're already out there
p*ssing off Duncan Hunter supporters! Knock it off ok?

Thanks.

Fred :)

Well, I guess I’m a conservative that doesn’t get it either than. Because I won’t even vote for Hunter if Thompson is on the ticket.

The only pork Hunter votes for goes to the military.

Hunter is still the only one that had the border fence built.

You speak of Cheney. One question: Do you think Cheney could be elected President, if he chose to run.

I’m not to sure I would even vote for him. Bush’s “accomplishments” leave a lot to be desired. I fear the most notable thing in his legacy, will be that he allowed the U.S. to become the Ununited States of Mexico. Also, I am not too sure that Fred will be any better on this issue, regardless of what he says....now.

Sneakers, if you’ve seen Die Hard 2, Thompson was in that. I can’t remember if he was THE guy in charge of the control tower or not though.

Vice President is the prep for the big stage, and I think at this point in his career, that’s what Hunter needs. It will help him nationally in astronomical ways.

I actually don't disagree with you. I'd love to see Hunter on top, as I think he is the only candidate that understands the military/illegal immigrant aspects of keeping our country safe. Problem is name recognition. He's gotten more lately but not as much as the "Kennedy wing of the party"!

Who said I had anything against the Vice Presidency?
