Besides FOX starting out with a bash Fred Thompson session, this was probably the most interesting segment of the debate. Huckabee takes on the Conspiracy theorist Ron Paul about the surge. Enjoy!

So, after the judges have heard the evidence, is there a clear winner?
To: Jay777
I’m sure that Romney’s “safe” stance on Iraq lost my vote.

Ron Paul is a short sighted idiot. He can’t think any further than cut and run.
He thinks if we leave the middle east everything will be fine. He has no idea what we are dealing with.
He sounds just like a democrat. Put your head in the sand and it will go away.
That’s a good way to get your butt shot off.

I think for a very good reason. When it comes to national security and foreign policy, mccain is one of only 2 that seems to really care. Except for Duncan Hunter the others just quote talking points...and I’m not sure fred would be any different.

Huckabee smoked Paulie boy bigtime. That was good stuff.

“FOX has people bragging about McCain now...”
From the little bit I saw, McCain definitely had the better answers in terms of style.
Romney’s answers sounded like they’ve been crafted by focus groups.
Rudy’s still stuck in NYC.
At the very least, McCain is back in contention, at least until he gaffs again.

Yeah it appears that the Huckster was doing his best to prop McPain back up, what a love fest . It also appears that when candidates get desperate , they turn to the token whipping boy known as Ron Paul .
If these Republicans would behave half as tough with the Dims as they do against Ron Paul , the party and country would be in far better shape .

Sorry, Paul’s wounds are self inflicted. I saw a lot of the debate. He has lost it.

Sorry, Pauls wounds are self inflicted. I saw a lot of the debate. He has lost it. He's angry because his country is dissolving into a quicksand of socialist unconstitutional programs, globalist agreements and meddling in other countries.
None of the other candidates are talking about the real issues facing America, only Paul and to a certain extent Fred is.
