Lake Erie departed her homeport of Pearl Harbor in May and conducted missions in the 7th Fleet area of operation, participated in Exercise Talisman Saber 2007 and performed escort duties for USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), USS John C. Btw, I was at Seaworld Orlando a week or so ago. I liked the fact that they had a separate, shorter line for tickets for military members. I got to speak with a young Air Force man (and his lady) long enough to say, "Thank you". The old vet directing traffic did most of the talking though.
Also, the Shamu show starts by asking all the members of the armed forces of the US, the UK and our allies and their family members to stand and be recognized. Nice moment. My wife (the liberal) was one of the loudest applauders. Nice to know that she can separate things in her mind as well. (Sometimes, I'm not too sure about that.)
