Having Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma is hardly a clean bill of health.
His doctors say he's fine, you disagree. So, when did you examine him, what tests did you conduct, what where the results of your test, and also, where did you get your medical degree, where did you complete your residency, what board-certifications do you hold, and how long have you been practicing?
Otherwise, you're no better than ghouls like MiaT, FairOpinion and VictoriaDelsoul (VD, for short) over at WAnkerville.
Heh. Yeah, watching Effin’ wind-surfing, riding his $7000 bike and wussily throwing that football was good for a laugh, but I wouldn’t want to see our candidate doing it (although my favorite will always be Effin’ in the NASA bunny suit).
I say stick with the issues and don’t try to impress us with sports and feats of strength — the latter just seems fake and cheesy to me.

February 15, 2007 — Rudy Giuliani, a prostate-cancer survivor who fought the disease seven years ago, will have a “comprehensive” physical exam and release the results, his aides said yesterday.
Giuliani and his chief GOP presidential primary rival, John McCain, have both battled cancer in the past seven years, and the Arizona senator recently said he would likely release full medical records in the campaign.
Asked by The Post about the ex-mayor’s plans, a Giuliani campaign source said he had an overall checkup in December and got a “clean bill of health” and is cancer-free.
“The mayor will have a comprehensive physical examination, and his doctors will release the results of the examination to the public,” said a campaign aide.
It’s expected to include Giuliani’s PSA levels - which is a blood marker used to determine if there are levels of prostate cancer present. It’s unclear when the exam will take place.
Giuliani and McCain are two top-tier presidential candidates who have battled major illnesses.
Giuliani was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the same illness that killed his father, in April 2000, and had radiation treatment.
McCain has had surgery for skin cancer, and has said he is cancer-free and healthy.
Aides to Democrats Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama didn’t return calls about whether their candidates will release health records. Aides to Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat John Edwards also didn’t respond.
Meanwhile Giuliani’s camp said he will stop making lucrative speaking gigs, which have earned him millions in recent years.
But the campaign is evaluating commitments already scheduled.
Last night, in an appearance on “Larry King Live” on CNN, Giuliani again used the words “I’m running” and said he’s eager to take on any of the Democratic prospects.
“I’d like to run against anybody the Democrats nominated,” he said. “If it’s Hillary [Clinton], God bless her. If it’s [Barack] Obama, terrific. If it’s [John] Edwards, I hope I haven’t left somebody out, but I think those are the three top ones.”
He also for the first time expressed regret about supporting his disgraced former top cop, Bernard Kerik, for the job of Homeland Security chief.
“Recommending him? It was a mistake,” Giuliani told King, adding he expected an opponent to bring it up. “I made a mistake . . . I think the answer is I made a mistake and I took responsibility for it.”
Giuliani also offered some more pointed criticism of the way the Iraq war has been waged than he has in the past, saying he would have gone about removing strongman Saddam Hussein differently, and would have sent in up to 130,000 more troops initially than the U.S. did.
(Sigh) You are disagreeing with his doctors. No doctor says he is fine. You cannot find any quote or link to any medical opinion in which Thompson's condition is described as anything but serious, even if he is medically fit to run for office. Being in remission with an indolent NHL is not fine. If you apply for life insurance, and you put on the application that you have nodal marginal zone lymphoma, they do not look at that as fine.
Hmm, you left out Fred’s change of heart about Feingold/McCain. He’s sorry he supported that bill and has said so repeatedly.
My point is that it’s a very small world and we have approximately a billion and a half Muslims to deal with. Like it or not, what we do or don’t do affects almost everyone else. Your point seems to be that he should be concentrating on America in this first ad. If we only could, but unfortunately, the days of isolationism are over and even Ron Paul can’t bring them back. Nothing is simple or easy — everything we choose to do bears a price. Fred’s appeal is that he isn’t afraid to speak plainly to the voters and tell the truth, good, bad, and ugly. Frankly, I’m sick of political lies.
Fred, look directly into the camera. And stop the head bobbing. It looks like you are struggling to get the words out.
I absolutely do not want to be petty, I really do appreciate the ad, but I must ask, is the first "still" picture of him in front of the flag from a couple of years ago? He does look "fuller" there. It may just be the angles, but there is a noticeable weight loss in the talking portion. But you are right he still sounds strong.
This isn't about isolationism, I was just suprised Fred didn't stick to a message the American people wanted to hear.
Okay, I'm not an expert in this matter but could this comment have waited until later?

Statements like this are extremely necessary but I thought something just about These United States would go over better.
