Hsu Had Ties To Former Clinton Scandal Figure Bernie Schwartz of Loral?

This link will not shock Clinton-era Scandalologists... Hillary's team sure did a dramatic about-face on Hsu, going from defending him to turning over his donations within a few hours. Maybe her people became aware of this connection to a scandal of the past...

Before his forced resignation last week, Norman Yuan Yuen Hsu sat on the board of trustees of the liberal New School university in New York with former Loral Corp. head Bernard L. Schwartz, who was allowed to transfer restricted satellite and missile technology to a People's Liberation Army front after contributing a record amount of cash to President Clinton's 1996 campaign...

Schwartz, vice chairman of the New School board, was among officials who introduced Hsu to the school's administration, WND has learned.

Last November, Schwartz and Hsu chaired a New School banquet at the Mandarin Oriental in New York which featured Sen. Clinton as keynote speaker. Clinton steered a $1 million federal grant to the college.

More recently, Schwartz and Hsu (pronounced shoo) appeared together at the New York Yacht Club for Democratic Rep. Patrick Kennedy's 40th birthday bash.

The Loral technology scandal details, for those who have forgotten, can be found at the WND link or this 1999 article from Rich Lowry.

Didn’t Hsu file for and receive bankruptcy relief of debt? If so, are not we taxpayers footing the bill for the $$ of relief? I do think so.

So these democraps take money given them by a felon and stolen from the taxpayers.

Hmmmm. Sounds like business as usual in good ol’ DC!

Clinton Gave China Chips for Nuclear War

Charles R. Smith

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 Newly declassified documents show that President Bill Clinton personally approved the transfer to China of advanced space technology that can be used for nuclear combat.

...

"The President [Clinton in 1996] has approved a series of satellite related waivers in recent months, most recently in November, 1996 for export of radiation hardened chip sets for a Chinese meteorological satellite," noted the Commerce Department documents.

These special computer chips are designed to function while being bombarded by intense radiation. Radiation hardened chips are considered critical for atomic warfare and are required by advanced nuclear tipped missiles.

...

Decade of Betrayal

U.S. intelligence sources stated that the newly released documents illustrate the extent to which the Clinton White House placed trade – and trade with China specifically – above national security.

...

U.S. Chips for PRC Nukes

...

As part of this upgrade, the Chinese army is also modifying its nuclear warhead designs to arm new survivable missiles such as the DF-31 and JL-2. Chinese engineers are planning to equip these new missiles with MIRV technology, allowing each missile to carry multiple nuclear warheads.

Again, the U.S. radiation hardened computer chip technology is a logical addition to the reconfiguration and upgrade of Chinese nuclear weapons.

Stolen U.S. Chips

...

In February 1996, a Chinese Long March rocket carrying a Loral Intelsat satellite failed and crashed on lift-off. The Loral Intelsat payload was badly damaged. The Chinese intended to launch the Loral satellite into deep space as they had been paid to do by Loral CEO Bernard Schwartz.

...

The missing board from the Loral Intelsat satellite is no mystery. It quickly became obvious that Chinese engineers removed the special electronics and kept the board for examination. The stolen Loral electronics consist of radiation hardened, encrypted telemetry chips, stored in a secure flight control box similar to those found on airliners. The NSA changed all U.S. satellite codes as a result of the stolen Loral chips, costing American taxpayers millions of dollars.

1996 Illegal Campaign Donations

Another factor involved in the November 1996 waiver issued by then-President Clinton is the fact that illegal money entered the U.S. elections from the Chinese army. The money was donated to the DNC from a variety of sources including convicted Chinagate figures John Huang, Charlie "Yah-Lin" Trie and Johnny Chung.

The 1996 Clinton-Gore campaign readily accepted much of the money from the Chinese army sources without question, and in some cases took these donations in cash. The allegations of Chinese espionage and illegal campaign donations were never investigated properly.

...

The legacy that President Clinton left for the 21st century is a modern Chinese army equipped for global nuclear war.

Excerpt:

Duncan Hunter: Well, you know, China has many conflicting interests. They have interests to continue to market their products in the U.S. and stack our billions of dollars in their treasury, they like that. On the other hand, they like an America that is off balance. And that is why they have transferred technology to countries around the world that are not friends of the United States. That is why we can see China as always, like when we put stiff sanctions on Iran which is walking down the path to build nuclear weapons, China is there to blunt American sanctions. So they like to see America off balanced, a little bit weakened. They also see America as a competitor in the industrial Global Trade that is taking place. They are moving aggressively to lock up oil supplies around the world. People say you can’t be tough on China because they are so big. I say you can’t ignore China because they are so big. And because of what they are doing.

I watched their military build up. They are building up at double digit pace right now. They are building lots of submarines, buying lots of high end fighter aircraft from the Russians, building about 100 short range ballistic missiles a year. China is stepping into the super power shoes that the Soviet Union left. Now we can have a good relationship with China; but it will have to be a relationship based on American Strength. I think Ronald Reagan proved that to us in our era of conflict and competition with the Soviet Union.

Hugh Hewitt: How many years have you chaired the Armed Services Committee?

Duncan Hunter: I have chaired it for four years. I’ve been on that committee for 26 years.

Hugh Hewitt: And does the Pentagon understand China? Do they come forward and do they talk on the record with the Hill about what China represents for the next generation?

Duncan Hunter: You know this last report on China actually received lots of criticism from the State Department because it was very candid about assessing this enormous growing military strength of China. The assessment of the Pentagon was they are doing so much more then they have to do for self defense. They are building an offensive capability. When they shot that satellite out of space on January 11th, because America’s military eyes are largely in space, that really hurdled a new era of military competition between the U.S. and China in space. Like it or not, if you have to rely on satellites for movement of special forces or army brigades or marine corps divisions, you have to rely on satellites for that, and your satellites are in danger, you are in trouble. So we have our eyes, our military eyes [on China]. Plus a lot of our economic capabilities are reflected through our space apparatus. You have to protect that. We are going to have to spend a lot of money now and take a lot of effort to neutralize what is an aggressive Chinese policy in regard to space.

(snip)

Hsu’s connection with Ed Rendell also needs to be investigated. Rendell was DNC Chairman when Bill Clinton was president. He also took thousands of dollars from Hsu for his gubernatoruial campaign last year that he is refusing to give away now, had thousands more directed into campaigns of many PA Democrats, and today we find that Hsu gave $10,000 to the Philadelphia Democratic Party. Could be belated payback for Rendell carrying Chinese water during the Clinton administration.
