I guess we’re just gonna have to take this up with Allen bros steaks, the sleep number people, the shed-building people, Apple, yella lumber, that coffee roasting company etc if Rush is gonna throw *us* under the bus on this one.

The more I read that transcript, the more obvious it becomes.

You might be wasting your time trying to inform posters who are not interested in information, or in thinking things through. I know I wasted my time.

Oh, no need to get ugly now. Just trying to clarify *all* sides, not just the ‘throw him under the bus’ side.

I know what you mean. As I said on another thread, I would like to know how many homosexuals they have gotten in these stings.

Another thought is, I am, tired of hearing folks throw the cop, who was just doing his job, where he was station, (which can;’t be a pleasant assignment!) under the bus! This type of sting is done to try and stop this disgusting and illegal behavior that has been going on in bathrooms all over the country. Public sex is illegal, if the cops can curtail it, they should. While they are at it they could also stop homosexuals from having sex in parks, where anyone can walk by. That is not something they get arrested for either.

“You solicited me.”

Go away creepy man. Flirt with strangers in men’s rooms on your own time.

Also, just to add a thought, or expand on the one I already posted, was Craig targeted OR did he get caught in a sting that was ongoing, in which case, it’s his own fault. Were others arrested in this bathroom allowed to plead down?

Fine. Then he can have a primary challenger in ‘08. Either way, the bum’s days are numbered. meanwhile, it’s time to make Arlen take the plank with him.

"I...Did...Not...Hit...On...That...Officer, Mr. Kumsinia, I mean Karsinia, Not...A...single...Time."

"These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you."

"By the way. Those are nice shoes."

"They were on TV defending him this morning."

Yes, I read about that.

I was struck by the first paragraph in the Statesman article, in which they said they believed Craig when he said he was not gay but it wouldn't matter if he really was.

I take that to mean it wouldn't matter to them if they discovered that he'd been lying to everybody for years about who he really is.

Ole “Scotish law” should have STFU.

While Spincter was checking into Scottish Law, he found a flock of unexplored sheep.

I like Rush.

But, yeah, since they did go after him using questionable means he’s been sympathetic to others even when in their case it is not justified. Such as Craig, such as Michael Vick. He’s personalizing the situation.

I usually defend him, but when he does that I turn him off.

There are times when i’ll jump onboard to defend a Republican getting the shaft because the GOP is spineless. Delay for one.

I refuse to defend Craig, he brought this on himself. And if he stays and people try to defend him he way Clinton was defended, well, it will just serve to further alienate and anger a lot of people in this base.

"Gee, d'ya think the cop might have lied about that?"

Nope.

In the arrest interview audio, Karsnia tells Craig that he (Karsnia) does not call the media about these matters. He did not say he could control the actions of all the police, prosecutor and court personnel who see that arrest report.

(c)claims he was picking toilet paper off of the floor.

And waving it at the guy in the next stall "YOOO HOOO!"

Happens to me all the time. NOT!

Before the press conference, they asked him “what exactly happened in that bathroom,” Michael Craig said. “We just wanted to talk to him about because we were shocked by what we were reading in the media.”

They were “trying to kind of break down definitions of what words mean,” Michael Craig said. “We just wanted to hear from our dad what happened, We’ve known him our whole life. He has been so trustworthy to us, so honest to us, that we believe him.”

Not honest enough, evidently.

was Craig targeted

Think about the lunacy of that thought. It's like 9/11 truthers pushing conspiracy crap.

Larry Craig was set up so he would just happen to walk into a particular public bathroom in an airport, choose among several bathroom stalls after scoping them out for a few minutes, then sit down to the strategically placed officer paid for by Larry Flynt.

Gimme a break.

No. Larry Craig just had the same bad fortune of other low life law breakers to get randomly caught in sting that was targeting widepread public lewdness and solicitation of sex in a public place.I'd say it's likely Larry Craig engaged in this activity before, perhaps at this very toilet room.

Unfortunately, because he is a "public figure," suspicions arise. But has anyone charged that the Revlon executive was "targeted" or the Land's End employee was targeted, or the Ernst & Young employee, or the flight attendants or any of the other 40 or so netted in the operation?

I don't know how they pled, though.
