What the...are ya run’n a commercial greenhouse?
Lawn?
This from Nascar.com re: Jr - I found quite interesting. If it had not been for the 6 engines, 1 tranny. 1 stepmother and the clutch part put in backwards plus the 100 point penalty he would be somewhere near the top of the Chase guys.

Thanks......one thing Sr was not, was like JPM. :)
Who’s most like Dale? Maybe Tony Stewart. If you’re in front of Stewart and he’s got a faster car and you don’t let him by, sooner or later he’s going to get by you but it’s your choice as to what kind of shape your car is in when he does.
Normally we only water enough to keep the plants and grass alive, so they have a touch of yellow by the end of summer. This year they are yellow from too much water.
Tony yes, to a certain point. But when he goes after someone after he’s bumped and intentionally boots them, no. Don’t get me wrong I like Tony, but his attitude off and on in the media has not been perfect, so I would say off the track Jr is the most like his father. Also, listening to Jr’s radio during races is a lot like his father. We didn’t have in-car radio to listen to that I know of with Sr., but there have been shows about him with some radio transmission.
They mentioned during the race Saturday that Jr wanted to throw the whole car out because his seat hurt did sound a lot like his father.
Jr doesn’t quite have the intimidator style of racing, mostly I think, because he is tired of being compared to his father. I have heard him say to his spotter “tell so and so I’m gonna park him if he does that again” so and so that night was Jeff Green. He said that more than once. On the other hand, he’s always worried that he needs to apologize for every small error made on the track. Tell so and so’s spotter I didn’t do that on purpose etc.
As far as in-car radio entertainment is concerned he’s the most animated of them all with language and can be amazingly funny as well. :) I’m off to work. BBL
“after watching the race my husband and I agree.....it shouldn’t be “Nascar” it should simply be “Dale Jr watch”.....”
I agree...I like JR fine but give me a break. How about the 1 car!
“Hate to say this because I am a Jr. fan. But wonder if anyone has suspected his driving technque that wears motors out?”
Truex
The purpose of the Chase is to ensure that there is not a couple of “run-a-way” drivers in the point standings. It compresses the points standing.
“I should hae added Dale Sr never accidentally wrecked someone.”
LMAO. Too funny. Classic quip.
“This year they are yellow from too much water.’
I quit watering the grass completely. We have these New England types down here all winter that want “a summer lawn year round.”
Grass in FL is meant to be green in summer and brown in winter and that is IMHO the way it should be.
I tell them, “it’s not dead, it’s dormant. Let it be.”
It's not dead, it's just resting very peacefully.
Of the 15,000 homes in Eureka there are only 10 that have green lawns at this time. A few years ago water was free over a certain amount because the city was contracted to buy more then they consumed from the water district. Then some money grubbing city manager convinced the council there was a pot of gold at the end of the spigot...
We’ve had “city” water for 60+(?) years, something my grandfather started. All that time, some people still had individual wells that could be used for whatever. The state has cracked down so hard on “water rights” most of those are just being capped now. Too much BS involved.
Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek have sued Ginn Racing and Dale Earnhardt Inc. for alleged breaches of their contracts, which included a base salary of $1.2 million apiece.
The separate suits, filed Sept. 7 in Cabarrus County, N.C., do not specify how much they have been paid or what they exactly are owed.
Also suing Ginn and DEI are crew chiefs Richard “Slugger” Labbe and Peter Sospenzo.
Ginn and DEI merged prior to the Indianapolis race in July, and Marlin and Nemechek found themselves without a place in the organization. The points of the No. 14 of Marlin ended up moving to the No. 15 of DEI with Paul Menard as the driver, while the No. 13 Nemechek team was eliminated.
“Demand for payment has been made ..., but [Ginn and DEI] have failed and/or refused to pay all or any part,” the complaints

Truex was already in the Chase
Jr, Harvick and Kurt were the story of the night. I don't fault ABC for following them more than anyone else. Truex doesn't do well at Richmond and there was no story there. As I read somewhere else 60% [at least] tune in for Jr so they gave the majority of the fans what they wanted. Power is in the numbers, he will win MPD again this year.
I still haven't heard back from ABC re: my e-mail on their coverage...not that I expect to.
BTW he's announcing his new candy bar [my guess] on Sept 18 which is one day before my predicted sponsor announcemnt.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. is scheduled for a news conference Tuesday, September 18 at 12:00 p.m. CT at the ALL CANDY EXPO at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL. [Big Mo]
OK no terrorist talk.....can you tell me where the oil pump belt would be in the Nascar engine :)
900 :P
