Cincinnati Enquirer articles cannot be posted here, but that's where the article is located. I guess, call this a vanity post, with a referenced link, instead.

Cunningham goes national

I hope it’s not true. I listened to Matt’s show on Sunday before last and it was pretty decent.

Darn — I really liked his Sunday night show. It was such a refreshing break from the M-F hysterical rants from Michael Savage.

“Well, now Hannity can go back to being the one that does that exclusively. ;): LOL! No one does that better than Hannity! Drudge doesn’t even come close!

I rarely listen to her bercause a local talk show host is better, but when I do, I actually thought she had an original format, one she made herself

I’m shocked, but I thought his show was getting stranger.

What was “whispered last Sunday night?”

Now the real question...does this have any connection to that 7 page hit article? Maybe he wants less attention? That writer was really chasing after him.

Bill Cunningham had a radio show on WLW form about 9pm to midnight (he might still do it for all I know).

Cunningham is on 12:30 pm to 3 pm. I liked his night time show a lot more. He seems to have toned it down a lot for daytime.

I still remember the time when he had a memorial service for the Truckin' Bozo (national midnight show based at WLW) and told the listeners of the Bozo's death and that from now on they would have repeats. One problem - the Bozo hadn't died. It took him quite a while to convince one crying woman on the phone that he wasn't a recording.

Sure, it’s somewhat original and she’s very talented — but then again all the canned laughter was/is copied from Drudge Radio. What really makes Laura’s show though are her three assistants, Matt, A.J. & Joe. Without them, the show would be a dud.

The way (Drudge) bags on MSNBC or CNN..

Drudge has one of the most insightful perspectives on the lame-stream media I've ever heard.

He knows the players, he knows where the bodies are buried, and he is absolutely fabulous at shredding the phony liberal hypocritical anchors to bits.

The canned laughter is a new thing to me, did she even admit she got it from Drudge?

No, I don’t think so. Drudge started using canned laughter a while ago and then, all of a sudden, she started to use the same exact canned laughter as well.

I really enjoy them, too. I’m feeling deflated. This news is out, and I won’t be here this Sunday, either. Or, late at least.

Hard to believe he’d hang it up before the ‘08 election cycle closes.

That puzzles me, too. But he'll still be on the website.

Well you were always great at doing these threads.

I think Drudge did improve on Sunday nights and maybe he can get an ABC radio gig or some other block of stations.

I've been busy with the woman I just married last month, so I have been absent for some time. Loved the chat when I could get here. I was listening to Mat a lot of the time anyway, but could not access a computer to post. I wish Mat the best and I think he has a future in radio still with brighter days ahead.
