The Most Feared Man on the Hill? (Barf Alert)
Washington Post ^ | September 4, 2007 | Jose Antonio Vargas

Soon, a new name will pop up on Mike Rogers's hit list.

Larry Craig wasn't "the first on my list," the gay blogger says. And the Idaho senator, who announced his resignation Saturday, "won't be the last."

Rogers, sitting on a club chair in his Northwest Washington apartment, is basking in the attention. For three years now, he's been a feared one-man machine, "outing," he says, nearly three dozen senior political and congressional staffers, White House aides and, most damagingly, Congress members on his blog. On Capitol Hill, a typical phone call from Rogers -- "Are you gay?" he'd ask -- is "a call from Satan himself," says a former high-ranking congressional staffer whose name is on the list.

Rogers reasons that there's justice behind his tactics -- "odious," "outrageous" and "over-the-line" as they might seem to his detractors.

In Rogers's mind, if you're against gay rights in your public life and you live a secret homosexual life, all bets are off.

In 2004, one of the first public officials he targeted was then-Virginia congressman Ed Schrock because of his voting record on such issues as gays in the military, same-sex marriage and gay adoption. In 2000, for instance, Schrock told the Virginian-Pilot: "You're in the showers with them, you're in the bunk room with them, you're in staterooms with them." Schrock decided not to run for reelection because of the rumors.

I wish the electorate practiced the same logic with CINO politicians...

Hey everyone, I’m gay! Look at me! I’m gay! Look at me! Hey, you’re not paying attention me!! Look at me, look at me!! - translation - “I’m a depraved, immoral, Godless cretin with rock bottom self esteem and self image, desperately craving attention to fill the black hole that is my pathetic life”

Pathetic

I see the left has no problem with using personal sex lives to destroy others. Ken Starr was the most evil man in the world, and this gay-Mike dude is a hero.

Maybe the handful of conservative Republicans who are privately gay don't have the same malignant narcissism that Rogers does, and prefer to do what's right for their country and constituents instead of trying to gain special privileges for their own deviant selves?

"I see the left has no problem with using personal sex lives to destroy others. "

While at the same time screeching about the evils of McCarthyism.

Outing homosexuals in any other venue would have them apoplectic.

I don’t know why this dork thinks he’s so great for his movement. I m considering sending him a thank you note for helping us get his deviant cohorts out of our ranks.

No, the most feared person on the Hill is that madam that they keep acting like they’re going to put in prison, but has so much dirt on everyone that they can’t. It might be unchristian of me, but there’s something about that whole situation I find amusing.

Deviants are all supposed to be left-wing, Socialist, equal-rights supporters. When deviants deviate, they shall suffer the WRATH of the truly godless and narcissistic, woe be unto them for coming to the table and partaking of only part of the feast.

They're not going to do anything, and I find hilarious. Truth is, I can respect a prostitute on some level; they are, at least, honest about what they do. The same cannot be said for our elected officials. Reagan once said that politics was the second oldest profession, and bore a number of resemblances to the first. What he forgot to add was how much more awful the second oldest profession could be as compared to the first.

We may have stumbled onto something here.

Several top democrat queers outed themselves before they were fingered by this gay blogger and his ilk, Barney Frank, among others. Thereby escaping the apparently damning "HYPOCRITE" charge!

This "hypocrisy" charge is what is tripping up the Republican queers. "Hypocrisy" makes the gay boys and girls very angry. They're just doing the job that no straight Republicans want to do.

Also, the queerbloggers seem strangely unconcerned with the hetero hi-jinks of Clinton, and even Ted Kennedy (although age and avoirdupois have slowed him down, one hopes), even though people are hurt and killed, which did not happen in that Minneapolis men's room.

BTW, if Ma and Pa taxpayer ever learned just how queer a scene the world of Congressional staffers is, they would throw a fit and stop paying taxes. It's definitely a gay mafia wielding some very real behind-the-scenes power! Also it is useless to point out that most; overwhelmingly most, key congressional and committee staffers are Democrats. They tend to act as gatekeepers. It has always irked me that Republicans continually cede this power to them without a whimper, ignoring qualified Republican candidates for these vital jobs...like me!

So why hasn’t he gone after Barbara Mikulski? Why did he never ‘expose’ Jim Jeffords? And for that matter, Hillary? The man’s just another pathetic Washington hypocrite....
