Nice jab at Fred. "voters would note who is there — and who is not". I couldn't agree more. Fred is wasting a valuable opportunity.

As with his supporters, Mitt Romney is pissing in the wind and its blowing right back in his face.

Need I remind the Romneyites and everyone else. Fred leads Mitt in every national poll under the sun. Missing one more debate isn't a big deal. There will be plenty to come. Fact is, debates are Mitt`s strong point. his best attribute up till now. I thought Mitt won the first two GOP debates, hands down.

Lets not forget, we're picking the leader of the free world, not the best debater. In that regard, Fred Thompson wins hands down.

That’s not a joke from Oven Mitt. That’s desperation disguised as humor.

Is Fred starting late? Or did the rest of the politicos get sucked into jumping way too early?

As of yet, not a single one of them has done anything more than jump up and down while waving their arms over their heads and scream “look at me! look at me!”

"I think it will boost the ratings for Jay Leno's show, but I'd rather be doing well in New Hampshire," said Romney

No kidding. He's missing a debate to appear on the Tonight Show? What kind of impression does that send??

Not that I care a whole lot though. I'm not for Romney or Fred. Hunter in 08!

"Well, I guess the only comment I'd make to Fred Thompson would be: Why the hurry? Why not take a little longer to think this over?" Romney jokingly told reporters. "From my standpoint, if he wants to wait until January or February, that would be ideal."

LOL.

If the election were tomorrow I would be voting for Romney. However it is not, so I am more than open to listen to what Thompson has to say. I do like Thompson, but he has yet to debate any of his platform.

We will see who is left standing at the end. I will say this, he had better make it worth having us wait all this time. He better impress the hell out of me.

And Fred would still be kicking Romney's butt if he did. Newsflash Mitt, Fred is beating you and you had a year's head start.

IMO Thompson would be a slight improvement over Bob Dole’s candidacy. I kind of like his folksy, wise-old-owl style, but I doubt it will sell in 2008. We shall see.

Not bad. I have no problems with some campaign humor. Except the general lack of it.

Witty jabs from Romney is pretty much the way he should handle questions about it. When Fred gets in we will have the opportunity to see how much he damaged his support by post poning his entry.

Since only a minuscule few watch the early “debates”, I find it hard to be troubled.

Romney needs to grow up if he wants people to take him seriously. Fred has had his own reasons for delaying his official entry into the race, and they are none of Mitt's business.

Fred is not even late in entering the race. He is doing so around the traditional time, the other candidates have been ridiculously early.

Last I checked they had noticed Mitt enough to give him higher disproval numbers then Hillary.

*Applause* to Mitt for this great accomplishment.

Seriously, the only two guys based on numbers to this point that seem to be in the running for the nomination are Rudy and Thompson. Thompson is hamstrung by voters waiting to see if he’s the real deal they envision or not. If not, i suspect Rudy will get the Nom. Mitt thinks if Thompson is out, he’ll be the beneficiary of the larger conservative vote. Yeah, uh-huh, ain’t happen’. All that will happen is the most liberal candidate the GOP has ever had will be running for president because the nomination will be his. And he’ll flat out lose to hill.

Yeah, Right!

Who is going to be running an ad on FNC during the NH debate? IMHO betya FRED gets equal or more positive attention by being on Jay and running a duringn detates instead of getting 15 seconds to answer questions.
