“”You cannot leave Fry’s without a bag check either.””

I have never let Fry’s check my bags, I don’t go that way, and have never run into a problem.

Ditto. I have been stopped at the local Wal-Mart before and checked, and it’s a two-second process. Not a big deal. I don’t mind,if it cuts down on theft and helps keep prices down.

Sure you can...They ask, and you can just walk by. Nothing requires you to stop.

“You cannot leave Fry’s without a bag check either.”

Last year I was at the local Walmart and they tried that check the bag s**t on me on the way out. I let the person check, then I turned around, went straight to the customer service counter which was a few feet away, plopped the bags on the counter and said “Take this stuff and give me a refund.” When they asked why, and the door person was right there, having followed me, I told them “Any business that automatically assumes thier customers are thieves is not getting my business. There are plenty of other stores.” Took my refund and left.

You cannot get out of a Costco or Sam's Club without being stopped at the door, show the receipt, and wait while the clerk checks what you just paid for 100 feet from the door. Your also checked out at Best Buy trying to get out the door also.

I find that so funny too. They herd you through this maze to their checkout counters, and then you can only leave after having gone through there. With a big screen HD TV, it seems pretty ridiculous to think that you slipped it past the clerks.
