The vote was supposed to be until 1 or 2 pm, but GOP security prevented registered Delegates from entering the building who were wearing Ron Paul signs at 10am.
I was standing over by the Granny warriors when 2 delegates approached me and asked me to help them get into the convention center.
They had showed up at the door a little before 10am wearing Ron Paul shirts. The security guard told them to change into proper attire. They left and changed then came back and it was now 10:10/10:20 and the security told them the registration was closed.
Apparently everyone who showed up from out of town or with an online registration recpt. was denied access unless they got there before 10am and in proper attire.

“Is There anyone from Texas that was there that can Fonfirm or deny this happened? If you can confirm do you perhaps have a copy of the so called letter. I semll something fishy so want to check it out Thanks.”
Should have read “Is There anyone from Texas that was there that can confirm or deny this happened? If you can confirm do you perhaps have a copy of the so called letter. I smell something fishy so want to check it out Thanks.”
It’s a conspiracy!
What’s fishy is the Paulistinians who think they can walk in anywhere they please and dictate rules to organizers of events so that they better suit their master.
Sounds to me as though those people knew that they were not properly dressed—they didn’t argue about their attire. Because they chose to do what they did, they missed the deadline for entry. They made bad choices, didn’t they? (They remind me of a lot of teenagers.)
If everyone was turned away after a specified time, then what are Dr. Paul's supporters complaining about?
PAUL/SHEEHAN '08
Who is Ron Paul?
You beat me to it! After the conspiracy theories fizzle, Ron Paul supporters will demand that they really didn't want to win. (After all, straw polls aren't mentioned in the constitution!)
If everyone was turned away after a specified time, then what are Dr. Paul’s supporters complaining about?
Watching the video that does not seem to be the case several arrived only they arrived with delegate badges while the accusers arrived only with letters (I do not know what time so can’t comment) I just smell sour fish and thought perhaps a Texan might be able to confirm or Deny this as being true.
This denial of entry after 10:00 a.m. was brought on by the U.S. policies in the Middle East.
If they didn't single out Dr. Paul's supporters for denial of access, then I don't see the problem. If everyone carrying letters instead of badges was turned away then there's no problem.
The only problem I see is if they didn't single out Ron Paul's supporters for denial of access.
So...whaddya think? Black Cherry on this one?
I just knew there had to be more to this just found this
“Several noted that Paul had more supporters at the poll but most were not eligible to vote because the Republican Party of Texas only allowed those who had been delegates in recent years to a state or national convention to actually cast ballots.”

Now it smells worse, which was it because of not having delegate badges or because they had not voted in recent years?
In the FWIW department I am not a Ron Paul supporter I just want to see who da heck is telling da truth is all
Ron “cut and run” Paul’s supporters never get a break.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL
If it’s really a fonspiracy, I’ll need fonfirmation before I’ll be fonvinced.
This is from a friend that was at the Straw Poll, “That Ron Paul really gags me and he had an enourmous following there. What a bunch they are tho most of them looked like throw backs to the hippie generation and many many of them were very rude. They had a hard time believing their guy didn’t win the poll and not only that, that he came in so far below Hunter. well, Hunter was brilliant and we were just so proud to be a part of it. Oh yea crazy Cindy Sheehan was there outside with some of her nutty followers protesting but we were inside all day and fortunately didnt have to cross paths with her.”.
