The Talk Shows
Sunday, September 2nd, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Arlen Specter, R-Pa.; Ed Gillespie, White House counselor and former RNC chairman.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Democratic strategists James Carville and Bob Shrum; Republican strategists Mary Matalin and Mike Murphy.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Joe Biden, D-Del., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and John Ensign, R-Nev.; presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala.; Rep. Kendrick Meek, D-Fla.; Laith Kubba, former Iraqi government spokesman; Lanny Davis, former special counsel to President Clinton; Ben Ginsberg, former counsel to the Republican National Committee.
During the Shamnesty travesty you had suggested that maybe Kyl's name was on the list and I disagreed, saying it would have to be something much worse than that to sell out your country over. Based on the ridiculous attacks on Vitter--and I'm sure they'll keep trying--I now agree with you that just being on the list could be enough to end certain senators' careers. Or at least to make them afraid it would. Unfortunately, for someone sufficiently mendacious, an end to their own career could take precedence over the good of the country.
Maica: I am waiting for the Republican oppo research team to start combing the records of that madams phone list, because I cannot believe that Vitter is the only politician on the list. Instead, the Republican Senatorial Committee is invisible.
I greatly fear the RSC is invisible because they know there are more Republicans to be exposed. If so, they should be doing something about it right now instead of letting it blow up right before the election. And it will blow up--it's quiet now because the scummy Rats are waiting for maximum impact on timing when the target(s) can't react in time.
RSC, if you're hoping the quiet means Rats are going to stay quiet because of their own dirty body parts, YOU ARE STUPID. They know--and you SHOULD know--that Rat voters don't care. It's the quiet before the storm.
I think the newspaper nailed Craig. Newspapers routinely go over the lawman’s log for these things. Craig blamed them for being on him for many years and they finally found a smoking gun. Most plausible scenario.
” I totally agree with you about the timing of the publicity about Craig.
Its like they have a big file of scandals and just pull one out to distract when a scandal comes out on Hillary or some other dem.”
Add in Hillary’s knowledge of the FBI files, and you’ll understand why people are afraid to take her on............
” The list of the guests on the Sunday shows sent me into a deep depression without having to hear a word they said.”
That’s why I don’t watch them, and come to this board instead to get some true analysis of what was said.
