Be fairer.

That's how we got the double standard in the first place. We have to be fairer to the liberals because they are __________ fill in the blank, (women, black, homosexual, senior citizens, minorities, immigrants, victim of a crime, from a respected family, from a broken home, doing the work of the American people, doing the work Americans won't do, sick, perverted, and on and on). Any excuse to not hold dems to the same standards as Republicans will do.

And Republicans should not be allowed to use the same excuses as dems.

Perhaps. But, so far, I have been.

And, as an extra-added-bonus I never duck the tough issues.

I absolutely agree with you.

This war has really been three wars in one.

The first war, the war on Iraq, was won by the end of May, 2003.

The second war, the Al Qaeda/Sunni Counterinsurgency, began in early 2004 with the killing of the four contractors and hanging of their burning bodies on that bridge in Fallujah. The surge has obliterated Al Qaeda in Iraq, and destroyed the Sunni resistance. Sunnis are now taking the USA/Gov of Iraq side of things. And a special note to the dems and DBM: The Sunnis are far closer to the action and know which way the wind blows much better than Tim Russert and Harry Reid. The latter two (and their comrades) are deceiving themselves if they think this war is lost. Er... Well, it is lost... For them and Al Qaeda, that is!

Lastly, a third war is no looming. It is the War on Iran. Many think the Shias of Iraq will now rise up on call for the Iranians. Well, it is not going to happen. The Shia of Iraq are neither stupid nor forgetful. They remember that the Persians treated them badly in the past and would rather dominate Iraq themselves than let Iran do so.

This is all about payback for Clinton. The Dems told the GOP, “You better make sure you’re as purer and more holy than Thou, ‘cause we’re comin’ after ya.”

That was how many years ago?

Gingrich, Livingston, Foley, Vitter, Craig....

Keeping a relatively low profile today. After two straight weeks of travel, with another to go this next week then probably yet another two weeks out, I’m kinda running behind on that nagging and inconvenient normal stuff from work.

How rude of people to expect me to do my job while I’m gallivanting around the country! ;^>

Oh Skypilot! What a blessed testimony our Tony has. I have tears streaming down my face as I type this...

As a cancer survivor, I remember ging through all those things —but Tony writes about it in such a way that displays his talents and gifts from God —

I pray for his healing. But if that is not the case, I’ll see him on the other side. As the old hymn says, “I may not know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.”

Iran is in a bad position with two freely elected gummits on their borders.

Haven't read the thread at length but did see some comment about Katie C in Baghdad. The video, thanks to Ian Schwartz is available. WOW is all I can say about her last and very telling comment.

...this market seemed to be thriving and there were a lot of people out and about. A lot of family owned businesses and vegetable stalls and so you do see signs of life that seem to be normal. Of course that’s what the U.S. military wants me to see so you have to keep that in mind as well.

To all who watch the crap televised on the Sunday shows in recent years:

You have performed above and beyond the call of duty. Your performance should be televised on “America’s Dirtiest Jobs.” Hats off to all of you who have prevented (I’m sure) many TV sets from utter destruction, as many fellow FReepers would have thrown shoes, ash trays, whatever, at the images of Leahy, Biden, Specter, Schumer, et al., lying over and over again.

Happy Labor Day to all!

The list of the guests on the Sunday shows sent me into a deep depression without having to hear a word they said.

And, anyway, who needs to hear them? It’s always the same song, second verse...actually first verse repeated over and over again.

DeLay is just getting started!! He has the guts to make life miserable for many DBM/dems and will do just that!! He is what we need more of in high places, the man with steel cajones.

I wish he would take the RNC Chairman position. Don't you know that would drive the dims and the DBM insane. He could and would make life very miserable for the dims during the election cycle.

Personally I do not think that Spector is doing the Repulicans any favours here.

That's why he's on the program.

Maybe Fred wants to go on a show that actually has an audience????

What’s inappropriate about that?
