I'll repeat an important point. Craig has not admitted to cruising for sex, gay or otherwise. He accepted a misdemeanor "disorderly conduct" deal and paid a fine in order to avoid a public trial and make the issue "go away." That is a political calculation, however mistaken, but is not an "admission of guilt" in the sense that it is being spun. He continues to insist that he's not gay and wasn't doing what the cop claims he was doing. Listen to the taped police "interview." IMO it's how someone who was innocent would react to being caught up in such an absurd situation, particularly someone who has been targeted by gay activists for years with accusations that he was "secretly gay."
I'm a contrarian by nature. I have a great fondness for a line delivered by James Mason in Heaven Can Wait (the 1978 one, not the one from the 40s):
"The likelihood of one individual being right increases in direct proportion to the intensity with which others are trying to prove him wrong."
That has always had the ring of truth to me.
Having said that, there's no way Craig will ever be able to clear his name even if he is innocent.
Well, to be honest, I’ve had some of those same concerns myself, and I’m a very strong conservative.
Of course, my choice has been Hunter, for a number of reasons. Thompson is still high on the list, however, and if he starts to get involved in a full-out campaign he has the potential to gain a lot of points in my book.
You have a point.
He plead guilty for “disorderly conduct,” not any sexual crime. However, he seems to have dug himself in a hole with all these resignations and intents to resign. That’s severe self-inflicted damage.
Rush is a “best of” tomorrow for Labor Day. He’s back at the golden EIB microphone on Tuesday.
Just Wow, Tony Snow is amazing.
Dear Lord Jesus, We pray that you would touch and Heal this gentle man. We pray you would give him comfort and strength as well as for his family.
In Jesus’ Holy Name
Amen
The Carvile and Mary show is getting a bit stale. He makes some outlandish statement that she tries to logically reject, then he goes to another outlandish statement. He wins on comic relief.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I am being fair.
read all posts and links..thanks all for the accurate and tireless work..........I just cannot watch the sunday shows
again,thx all for doin the heavy liftin
The problem with Craig is that nobody really knows if he is guilty of solicitating a homosexual act. If he was not then he was framed in one of the biggest stings ever. Seems like Republicans never get the benefit of the doubt, even with each other.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I did some quick googling on the cop involved in this "sting," Sgt. Dave Karsnia, and only found PR type stuff (mostly the same boilerplate about how "sensitive" he was to those he arrested). Can you point me to anything regarding the track record of this cop or his "underling?"
Wow snugs, thanks. Rodguy was on fire last week.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I think that you have summarized this so well, Bahbah, I can’t think how anyone could have said it better.
Be fairer.

Great Post but now you have to spank yourself for listening to NPR!!(its an FR rule)
~~~~~
As a patron of cabs for the first time in my life since my sudden departure from FL to Chicago a couple of years ago, I’ve been struck by what this huge multi-ethnic group from everywhere in the world have on the radio during my rides.
I’d say that at least 50+% listen to NPR/public radio. The thought has crossed my tinfoil brain that there might be some reason for this ...
They’re also typically on their cellphones.. which is against the law here ... earbuds in place, audibly speaking in their language. It’s obvious, sometimes non-stop for the whole ride, and very rude for the customer.
This large, constantly cell-phone-connected group gives me pause.
Pop star George Michael, on being caught engaging in public sex. The second time.
It's funny because it's true.
Now watch someone spoil your brilliant post by bringing up illegal aliens, LOL!)
