How could the senator's campaign have missed the red flags over Hsu? As Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu confronted an old criminal case and faced a new FBI investigation Friday, a fundamental question persisted: How did Democratic presidential front-runner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign fail to see the red flags in Hsu's contributions?
Until this week, Clinton counted Hsu as one of her most prolific money bundlers. He gave her campaign $22,300, regularly appeared as a co-host for major fundraising lunches and dinners, and raised more than $100,000 from his friends for her presidential run.
Obviously, we were all surprised by this news, and we have a procedure that we follow and upon verifying it, we returned his money," Clinton said this week.
When a campaign has attracted more than 500,000 donors, as Clinton's has, there is no way a candidate's staff can check out each contributor. Clinton and her aides said there was little they could have done to protect themselves, but fundraising experts from both parties pointed to warning signs that should have given aides pause.
"If I were raising money for the prohibitive front-runner for president of the United States, I would be very, very careful about who these donors are and do some level of research," said Marty Wilson, a Republican strategist and fundraiser for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and others.

They didn't fail to see them. They were complicit.

Pookie had a side splitter during the week, ‘the Shady Bunch’.
Amazing. It’s a Democrat, so it’s “How could they have missed those red flags?”
If it had been a Republican, it would have been, “In a party bedeviled by corruption,”
Violins playing
I think what Mrs. clinton meant to say was "Obviously, we were all surprised by this making the news"
LOL! Great picture.
Gosh, I dunno. Who could ever guess that the Red Chinese might try to funnel campaign contributions through intermediaries in an attempt to influence American elections and/or gain access to American military technology. It’s just too unbelievable a scenario to take seriously!
If it happened in this case, it’s a new and unique situation and no one should suggest that Hillary had any way of suspecting some nefarious activity was in process. She’s no mind reader, you know!
The Clintonistas have never concerned themselves with where campaign contributions
originate ... Bubba, in his two election cycles, received off shore funding from the Chicoms.
Hillary is just following his lead.
They didn’t fail to see them. They were complicit.
:::::
Of course they are COMPLICIT...such a nice word for slime like the Clintons. They have been taking money from every American enemy who either wanted our technology or influence over American foreign policy. These “political donors” are not giving the Clintons (and other Dems) money for NOTHING - THEY ARE BUYING INFLUENCE AND INFORMATION....The Clintons should have been put behind bars a very long time ago high treason and betrayal, when China Gate became clear.
And America just stands there.....

Turning the Culture of Corruption Charge Against the Dems
Bill Clinton got into a bit of trouble in the mid 1990s over fund raising. It seems that he liked to accept money from China. Fund raising errors are not limited to Bubba, Hill is having her share as well.
It seems that a family living in a modest green home in Daly City, CA is one of Hillarys largest single donors.
According to the [1] Wall Street Journal:
Six members of the Paw family, each listing the house at 41 Shelbourne Ave. as their residence, have donated a combined $45,000 to the Democratic senator from New York since 2005, for her presidential campaign, her Senate re-election last year and her political action committee. In all, the six Paws have donated a total of $200,000 to Democratic candidates since 2005, election records show.
That total ranks the house with residences in Greenwich, Conn., and Manhattans Upper East Side among the top addresses to donate to the Democratic presidential front-runner over the past two years, according to an analysis by The Wall Street Journal of donations listed with the Federal Election Commission.
It isnt obvious how the Paw family is able to afford such political largess. Records show they own a gift shop and live in a 1,280-square-foot house that they recently refinanced for $270,000. William Paw, the 64-year-old head of the household, is a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service who earns about $49,000 a year, according to a union representative. Alice Paw, also 64, is a homemaker. The couples grown children have jobs ranging from account manager at a software company to attendance liaison at a local public high school. One is listed on campaign records as an executive at a mutual fund.
The Journals investigation has uncovered that the Paw family has close links to political donor Norman Hsu. According to public records, Hsu once used the Paws address as his. This has raised eyebrows at the Federal Election Commission. The FEC is investigating Hsus political activity for evidence of fraud.

Since “reading more” at the LaTimes requires signing up, can someone elaberate on what the FBI is doing?
Sadly you cannot accuse the democrats of corruption in this case because their actions are entirely consistent with their moral standards and traditions.
Beginning of the political end of the Klintoons...
Especially Her Heinous??
LA Times, Dan Morain....

I had to read the above a couple times.
The way its written the first part gives the impression that it's a quote from the Clinton people. But no, that's non partisan 'journalist' Dan Morain doing a little CYA for the hag.
Not to mention it's utter BS. Ole Norman wasn't giving $20 at a time on his VISA. His 'HUGH' donations would stick out like a sore thumb.
I googled the FBI in a news search, read the most recent 25 pages of headlines .... nothing.
