The sheets of paper seemed to be everywhere the lawmakers went in the Green Zone, distributed to Iraqi officials, U.S. officials and uniformed military of no particular rank. So when Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) asked a soldier last weekend just what he was holding, the congressman was taken aback to find out.

They think they’re being “slimed” when their own votes and words are published?

So telling people what politicians have said, is getting “slimed”. Got it.
Or did I miss something? Did any of these pols not say, what they were said to have said?
These people *are* slime.

So when Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) asked a soldier last weekend just what he was holding, the congressman was taken aback to find out. The Representative's name was misspelled.
It's MORON, not MORAN....

Congresscritters upset that their bio’s were distributed with some of their quotes about the war in Iraq. What a bunch of babies...they appear to be ashamed that the troops were given information about them and how they voted on Iraq issues.

Slimy ‘Rats call it “being slimed” when their own words and positions are discussed — funny how deep down they know what their ideas are really worth!!

I notice that they don't DENY that they said that stuff.
They're not being "slimed", they're being confronted in an embarassing way with their own words against the troops.
Too bad. If you might be embarassed by what you're saying, maybe, just maybe, you ought not to say it in the first place!.

Some of my favorite words from Jim Moron (D-Tehran):
“If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this. The leaders of the Jewish community are influential enough that they could change the direction of where this is going, and I think they should.”

"But even such tight control could not always filter out the bizarre world inside the barricades. At one point, the three were trying to discuss the state of Iraqi security forces with Iraq's national security adviser, Mowaffak al-Rubaie, but the large, flat-panel television set facing the official proved to be a distraction. Rubaie was watching children's cartoons. When Moran asked him to turn it off, Rubaie protested with a laugh and said, "But this is my favorite television show," Moran recalled."
Dear Lib Reporter, a more accurate interpretation would be that Rubaie considered children's cartoons more intelligent, interesting, and relevant than the babbling of a Demagogue politician.

Now that we’re seeing significant demonstrable success from Petraeus, they’re running from their previous words. Running hard, and running fast.
It’s amazing to me that these pols don’t seem to realize the Internet exists, and that it’s really very easy now, to dredge up their words and positions.

A competent military commander will always brief his troops on the nature, identity, and tactics of their enemies.
To: FreedomPoster
I wish that Republicans in general would have the guts to confront these cowards with their own words.
But sometimes it's hard to find a spine amongst the pubbies in charge.
Which is why the Internet will have to do it for them . . . . I don't mind picking up the slack, even though the pubbies won't, because so much is at stake.

"This is beyond parsing. This is being slimed in the Green Zone," Tauscher said of her bio.
I don't know if any of this is true but it the article fits the left.
I've read or heard on more than one occasions when a liberal is quoted, they feel smeared or slimed. I figure at some point in their lives they should accept responsibility of their action and words. If they don't feel right about it, then stop what ever they are doing or saying. LOLOLOL
Jonathan Weisman sides with back stabbing liberal peons as usual.
