Well, that proves we're all racists, so we should just let 50 million aliens become US citizens right away to atone for our sins...

Just as soon as we’re done paying for slavery so tell ‘em to take a number and take a seat.

OK, "white power" is wrong to say.
How about "everything for the race, nothing for those not of the race" ? Is that also wrong to say?

This actually makes me want to puke. I used to hate to see skinhead tats when I worked in the O.R.

Unfortunately our children are faced with blatant racism in the classrooms from their illegal classmates. I’m not condoning the chant of white power and suspect it was just a stupid stunt.

Well, that proves we're all racists No - but you do have to be careful about what messages you are sending to young people who may lack the ability to understand nuances. While there are differences, serious ones, between an anti-illegal immigration position and the racist one - rhetoric has often become so heated that sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

Maybe they resent being forced to learn a second language in order to function in their own country. I do.

I haven’t forgotten the troubles in the schools last winter. In a way it seems like our children face the brunt of the illegal invasion.

Or maybe one? Maybe he (or she or it) was chanting fight power. Maybe we have a budding marxist.
The classroom discussion started with the question: Why do students need to learn Spanish?
Because learning another language is good for you. Be glad it isn't Greek. Spanish at least uses more or less the same alphabet.

One student says “white power” and it’s a major event.
La Raza can recruit thousands to proclaim the superiority of Hispanics and nary a sound is heard in response.
Liberal white guilt at work.

I think ethnic relations might be better if this Catholic school taught all the students Latin, the language of the Church.
Make Spanish optional, but require Latin.

Im not condoning the chant of white power and suspect it was just a stupid stunt. When the words of one group are banned and similar words of another group are accepted or promoted, then you should expect this to bubble up. Tyranny is not the remedy for racism.

Exactly. One student. They try to make it sound worse, by qualifying it as “at least one student”.
Why not report what the other side was saying, because, honestly, they weren’t innocent in their rhetoric.

Oh, how scary. At least one! (At most one?)Next we will find out that the person shouting "white power" was really on a TV set in the classroom, during a showing of a documentary of some sort.
And somehow that counts...
