Spitting mad over tobacco

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Some Arkansas lawmakers are spitting mad — over chaw. Representative Pam Adcock says she'll introduce legislation that would bar chewing tobacco from the state House floor.

She says she's tried of seeing her spitting colleagues, adding that it's gross. But some in the House say use of chewing tobacco is a personal decision.

Smoking is already banned in the Arkansas Capitol.

Obviously you don't know the health hazards associated with second-hand spittle. ;-)

The worst is when some slob spits in 23 different containers and leaves them laying all over the place for for other people to pick up. I have a rule: ONE spitter only, and take it with you when you leave.

Copenhagen man, going on 25 years. I constantly get the EWWWWW you CHEW? Most people ask it as a question because they never, ever, see a spit container around.

Wonder why?

Years ago, as restaurants and other gathering places hopped on the “No Smoking” bandwagon, I made sure to load up my lip and indulge my nicotine addiction in plain view. Preferably with a clear glass soft drink bottle so that all might see.

Where there ain't smoke, there's spit.

Now we're going to be regaled with all the stories of babies dying from the effects of second hand spit.

And Great Aunt Tillie ain't going to get to kiss up the young-uns any more when she comes for a visit...

Do you swallow the juice? If so, you must have an iron gut.

If we were good as kids, Mom would sprinkle it on our Wheaties.

Can’t spit... can’t smoke...

Pretty soon all us men will be homebound, because we biologically can’t do the one and only one thing that will be allowed in public:

breast feed.

I don’t mind chewing, I chew myself on long flights when I can’t smoke (Kodiak, I’m not man enough for Copenhagen). I just don’t like the mess from multiple containers, as they will inevitably leak or spill all over the place.

Gave up cigarettes after 31 years and went to "chaw" and snuff in February.

If I would have know how great it is 31 years ago I never would have smoked.

Watch yer step ma'am!

Actually they forbid chewing tobacco on a lot of planes. I saw it in the inflight magazine. They also forbid chewing tobacco on a lot of school campuses and private businesses. The anti-tobacco people are really going overboard. Ban smoking, fine. But the anti-chewing rules are truly arbitrary. It’s yet another example of liberals banning something they simply “don’t want you to do”.
