A caller on talk radio yesterday pointed out: How would the senator use a wide stance with his pants down around his ankles?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. So I tried that little exercise myself yesterday when I took to the stall of restroom at work. With my pants down to my ankles, it was not possible to spread'em further than should width. Even with pants not completely down to the ankles, you actually have to pick up both feet to be able to move one toward the next stall. I concluded he either sat down without pulling his pants down at all, or had his pants completely off. Both of which seem like weird behavior to me.
