If there are any attorneys out there, I have a question: What is the legality of this “do-it-yourself” campaigning vis a vis federal election laws and regulations? For instance: How are ads created and run by supporters counted towards the $2300 limit on contributions?
Did you vandalize the keywords for this thread?
To be honest, I couldn't tell you. I'm sure someone from the RNC will bitch to the FEC about this to try and derail Paul's campaign though.
That is a good question, stupid campaign finance reform laws... if I had to guess, I’d bet Ron Paul supporters are ignoring the law. I would if I had that kind of money. :)
btw, your name is in the keywords, lol (i didnt do it)
A number of Ron Paul supporters have setup PACs to run these ads. That’s right, we know how to use the internet to find out this information, amazing isn’t it. No surprise we support a candidate that has never voted to regulate the internet.
It is legal and we know how to set them up. You want me to provide you with links or you can do your own work and look at http://www.fec.gov/
