This is absolutely disgusting.
Even apart from the issue of terrorism (which is granting a lot), how come we can have an Islamic school but not a Christian school or a Jewish school that is publicly funded?
This is so far out it’s incredible. Where are the ACLU and the People for the American Way?

Given the backdrop of Sept. 11th and other muslim attacks, this would be the same as Washington D.C. opening up a taxpayer-funded college in 1941 for members of the Japanese Imperial Empire.

No no. It has to be a Catholic "culture" school. Just skip around the God stuff in Roman Catholisism and just teach the culture. Get how the game works?

I think the author of this piece is either misinformed or is trying to misinform others. It is an Arabic themed school, not an Islamic school. It focuses on Arabic language and culture, not Islamic culture. As everyone knows, not all Arabs are Muslems.
Having said that, I think this needs to be watched closely. I have no problem with an Arabic themed secular school. It must have secular administrators and teachers and must not delve into religious practice.
It would be a good thing for more American young people to learn Arabic. The military and the CIA will need them in the future.

We should build one, right after we build enough Christian and Jewish schools in New York to match the proportion those believers represent of the population.
My guess is that this Muslim appeaser isn’t interested in doing anything as radical as that.
