I suspect Japan, South Korea, the ROC and the Philippines would have at least as much objection to the proposal as we should.
(Of course, if Japan were in the process of remilitarizing on friendly terms with the US, we could, er, ‘agree’ to the proposal. . wink, wink.)

In another few years or less, China will be able to flood the world market with our currency and we will be thrown into a major depression. Then they will offer to bail us out for our National Forests and wilderness areas along with all the natural resources they hold. Not a shot will be fired.
