AUSTIN -- Authorities found the bodies of four people in a home northwest of Austin Sunday evening, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Travis County Sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade said the cause of death had not been determined but was believed to be "homicide times four."

“Rootie?”
This Rootie?

Maybe he was supposed to meet her at the bar. He asks the bartender if he has seen her. Bartender gets suspicious of him meeting an underage girl. He panics and kills the bartender. Then decides he has to get rid of the family as well.
It's a counter-flaming trick I use.
If you use "Jorge" or "Rootie" in a pro-Dubya or pro-Rudy post, then the knee-jerks pass right on by, since they don't read anything, just flame.
And yes, by throwing their hats in, Rootie has indeed joined the circus!
I’ll run up to the Conoco in a while to get the story.
I have a fellow guardsman who is a deputy in this area. I may email him tomorrow and see what he knows about this incident.
Exactly my thought—unless the bartender was boinking her too.
KVUE News
A Travis County Sheriff's Department spokesperson says Paul Devoe was arrested Monday afternoon at a friend's home in Shirley, NY. Authorities say they also recovered a weapon in the arrest that they say may be the murder weapon.
Four bodies were found inside a home in Jonestown Sunday night, and authorities say those killings may be tied to other crimes.
Jonestown police responded to the home Sunday after receiving a call from a concerned relative.
Officers spent the night and the early hours of the morning dusting for fingerprints and searching for other clues in and around the house where the four bodies were found.
Devoe is also accused of shooting and killing a bartender in Marble Falls Friday night.
According to a release from the Llano County Sheriff's Department, Devoe is also accused of holding a gun to a woman's head Thursday night and firing several shots in her home. She was able to escape and told investigators Devoe had been living on her property while doing some carpentry work.
"The medical examiner's office I understand is finishing up their examination of the bodies as we speak. Once they do that, we'll be able to release more information about the victims," said Roger Wade, Travis County Sheriff's Office.

The names of the deceased have also not been released.
I drove to Jtown, and here’s the sketch: The mother, daughter and respective boyfriends are the victims. One person seemed to think the daughter was Devoe’s own child.
Travis County mentioned this is the worst since the yogurt shop murders - poor people. Definitely will be contributing to any jars they place around.
I guess he drove to Albany, NY with the weapon?
In Austin in 1991, we had a spectacularly gruesome and heinous murder of four young girls at a yogurt shop.
Law enforcement and the local news are alluding to a similar level of horrific-ness. (sic)
I wonder if they will investigate the guy for the 1991 murders.
where do you see albany, ny? shirley, ny is in long island. it is, how should i put this, not the nicest part of long island. everyone there looks like the perp in question.
Doubtful but interesting point. The 1991 case still isn’t fully solved, it’s just a horrible, awful, wicked case. It’s still being prosecuted/de-prosecuted/re-prosecuted 16 years later.
um, yeah. that’s pretty much what i think of when i hear shirley, ny.
Put that mistake up to a bad memory after 12pm! :-)
Now you have me wondering about the yogurt shop murders. I’d go into the lurid detail but it’s positively satanic, so much - the perps allegedly set the shop on fire but I’ve heard people say the first responders that set it on fire because the scene was just way too much to handle.
I just asked that because I know that law enforcement look for commonalities between crime scenes. If the one in Jonestown was of such horrific a nature, the proximity to North Austin (wasn’t that the area?) would cause them to look for a possible connection.
My buddy wasn’t on the Jonestown patrol that day, but he will try to get more details.
