I personally think he should be reminded that we have men that have paid the ultimate price to ensure his democratic government has a chance to take root. He should be a bit more respectful of our criticisms if his government asppears to lack urgency in moving things along while we stick our necks out for him. I personally think it is disgusting that he threatens to become an Iranian Shiite protectorate if we mention leaving before he deems it is time.

I personally think you are dead wrong. And why are you sticking up for Hillary Clinton? They did not ask us to be there. We have no right to tell them how to run their government.

We have no right?

How about a few thousand dead Americans that paid the price of his government in blood. We damn well have a right.

Hey you guys!

This is getting a bit personal.

Anyway, whether we like it or not Maliki was elected and he IS the head Iraqi government. So they are having some trouble getting their act together. Well, so did we, when we were starting out. It took us several unhappy years to scrap the Articles of Confederation and put together our Constitution.

I’m glad we had the time to do that, and we didn’t have some French version Hillary Clinton mouthing off about our early leaders. Allies can advise, sure, but they need to do so carefully, i.e. diplomatically.

I personally don’t think much of Maliki, but when he takes on jackasses like Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin, he’s my guy.

I think Hillary made a mistake when she openly singled out Maliki. It really looked bad. I’m sure many in the Bush administration are not satisfied with Maliki’s achivement either, and perhaps want him ousted as well. But they wouldn’t say it in public.

I’ve been waiting for this response to the Hillary. When you stick your fat face into other nations’ business, expect it to get bloodied. This bitch, more then likely, doesn’t even understand that she’s done wrong.

Weren’t the dim Dems chomping at the bit for the Iraquis’ to have their own government—then when they do, the same Dems try to intimidate their new government? What disingenuous asses.

Not from Hillary!! She’s a nothing in the sphere of foreign affairs. None of our Senators and Reps have ANY business butting into foreign affairs. It is NOT THEIR JOB!

If you notice, the Republicans usually don’t. The Dem turds, however, are another story.

Yes, the Multi National Force has lost quite a few brave service personnel defending the Iraqi Democracy and Malaki is probably an Iranian stooge, but you gotta admit that Hillary deserved this slap down. Basically Malaki said, 'Its not your Village, Bitch.'

I got a feeling a lot of us 'Vast Right Wing Conspirators' might be borrowing that line a few years down the road (Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc. etc.).

He CAN be reminded by the President, or his representatives, but NOT by a mere Senator! It is a severe breach of protocol for Senators to inject themselves into foreign affairs (the President’s job).

Hillary’s forgotten she’s not President yet!! What a bitch, she knew what she was doing and was counting on those shortsighted, on the other side of the aisle, to agree with her. Only another effort to short circuit the current President. Don’t be so easy.

Well, so did we, when we were starting out.

It's not just starting out... Even to this day, Sunnis and Shia's in our Congress and Senate can't agree on how to divide the oil profits they are going to take from "Big Oil" and other profits they are going to take from "Big Multinational Corporations" between themselves for all-important programs such as education, environment, healthcare, seniors, children, minorities and poor.

I don't think the "political surge" in this country is working... Maliki is right, it looks like we still have a dysfunctional government, even after all the Amendments to Constitution and gerrymandering in last 200+ years, Sunnis and Shia's in US government can't get together on most important subjects of the day and take summer vacations in times of Global War, while country's infrastructure is crumbling and billions of dollars spent on rebuilding of cultural centers wiped out by al-Katrina go to waste or simply disappear because of corruption.

"Carl Levin and Hillary Clinton are from the Democratic Party and they must demonstrate democracy," al-Maliki said. "I ask them to come to their senses and to talk in a respectful way about Iraq."

Begging your pardon, sir, however Democrats in America have absolutely nothing in common with a true democracy. Try search google under "Stalin" or "Hitler" for a better reference.

The RATS have been sticking their noses where it doesn't belong. Like others have said IT NOT THEIR JOB to be messing around in foreign affairs. All that these Democrat asshats have been doing is undermining everything we've been trying to accomplish, so if you want to defend the lives we have lost in Iraq, direct your anger at Hillary,Levin, Nancy Pelosi, and all the other leftwing dingbats that don't seen to know what the hell their job is.

This Maliki might be a looser, but he is right telling Hillary and Levin to butt out. They aren't running the administration, Bush is.

I wasn’t defending Hillary. And yes she and others are definitly sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong.

But that’s not the point.

We paid in blood and treasure to have something to day in what goes on there. To say that “They did not ask us to be there. We have no right to tell them how to run their government.” is dead wrong.

Japan didn’t “ask us to be there either” and we did tell them how to run their government. We paid for that right and we’ve paid for it in Iraq as well. We are there and continue to be there precisely because they were/are unable to run their own affairs.

Sorry...

That should have been:

We paid in blood and treasure to have something to say in what goes on there.
