Well, so did we, when we were starting out.

It's not just starting out... Even to this day, Sunnis and Shia's in our Congress and Senate can't agree on how to divide the oil profits they are going to take from "Big Oil" and other profits they are going to take from "Big Multinational Corporations" between themselves for all-important programs such as education, environment, healthcare, seniors, children, minorities and poor.

I don't think the "political surge" in this country is working... Maliki is right, it looks like we still have a dysfunctional government, even after all the Amendments to Constitution and gerrymandering in last 200+ years, Sunnis and Shia's in US government can't get together on most important subjects of the day and take summer vacations in times of Global War, while country's infrastructure is crumbling and billions of dollars spent on rebuilding of cultural centers wiped out by al-Katrina go to waste or simply disappear because of corruption.

Check our history. From the Declaration on Independence to the Constitution was around 13 years. We had the Articles of Confederation in between, which did not work. Of course, we had no democracy to 'borrow' from, we were the first.

Iraq has a duly elected government and constitution. We may not like some of the things they do, but unless we want to overthrow the duly elected government and constitution, we need to make any suggestions diplomatically, not in a campaign speech.

You left out the We hate borders and love amnesty part . And who is benefiting the most from this war . If fighting terror is the agenda , why are so many militant camps [ Islamburg is one of many compounds , NOI ,CAIR, ] inside our nation being ignored and in some cases protected ?

Things just don’t add up no matter how hard we try to pretend they do .
