HALL OF FAME #19 THE WEEKEND THREAD T.G.I.F. at the Finest |
Every Thursday at the Finest |
I agree..It’s a wonderful, sharing, caring group. We were all new once!
Gorgeous! :)
How are you doing Meg? My last week with my daughter before school starts. :( I always get a bit down end of summer and my daughter leaves every day. She’s looking forward to it. This is good. We did school clothes shopping. I love seeing her into her new school clothes. :)
Thank you! I’m fine..I have a backache all of a sudden..Too much computer sitting!
My children were always “ready” for school to start. It was a busy time to get their shopping done. I’ll bet she is adorable in he new clothes..They do grow up so fast!
Its hard to believe that I’ve been a member since 2000 and it took me 6 years to find “A few of the finest”. I would go the Latest Posts which I still do occasionally. I would read a lot of the Posts and then join in on the ones I was interested in......a habit that I continued each day. I just don’t go to too many political things anymore! They make me angry sometimes! LOL~~
GeeBee, you make me yearn for those days again. So exciting getting new school clothes and supplies, etc. I always loved it as much as my kids did. Enjoy each day as time flies and I expect you already know that!
It sure goes fast. I’m treasuring every moment. It’s fun. I’m so glad the styles have changed. Finally. For awhile there they were too revealing for a young girl. I would have to order on line and search. It was frustrating. There are some cute outfits out now. We bought a lot ;)
I hope you can get some rest and your back feels better Meg.
Meg, that picture is inspired and inspirational. Thank you so much. What an awesome Navy we have.
For you and Finest FRiends, in case you haven’t seen this video sent to me by a proud Navy wife, here is the link to “Navy 2006 Year in Review.”

As they say, turn those speakers UP!!
Top o' the Afternoon to Ya...:)
Cool Collage, Billie
Plus Kitty's and Meg's tables are always so beautiful!
BTW, Dave, how was the race Saturday night?
Looks like I’m in the market for a new computer. :(
I’m back on PrissyMissy’s PC. My hard drive crashed. Her computer does not have the room or the power for me to do much.
I converted some Word documents to Word Perfect this morning so I could finish a job that I had started.
Any warnings or suggestions for buying and using Vista?
Rus, Thanks you for Military Monday and a big thank you for our daily inspirational message.
Pray real hard for patience. :(
LOL
Thanks, Billie.
I need to pray really hard for forgiveness for my loss of patience with my dead computer this past 2 months.
I did have time to transfer most important stuff to an external drive.
My son is still talking to a computer tech to see if we can salvage anything from the crashed drive.
Also be aware that even though you will be buying what seems like twice as much machine as your present one, Vista is a HUGE HOG, and it's going to be occupying a bigger chunk of it than XP did on your present one.
I have spent more time on this pc just trying to get things installed and seeing how much of the junk Vista loaded I can uninstall to make room for the things that "I" want on it.
You are sorry you asked, aren't you? :)
It was a great night of racing. Deni and Rich competed in 2 races. She picked up 66 points for her efforts and Rich place 2nd in the last race (10 laps). Deni placed 9th and 10th in the two races.
Rich in the white car just finishing the hairpin turn and Deni in the black #14 in the background. Dear ol' dad made the stencils for their numerals. Gave 'em US Flag stickers to place on their cars this morning.
