Ron Paul supporters urged to attend MoveOn.org Rally !
RonPaul MeetUp Group ^ | 26 August 2007 | David Osborne

Posted on 08/26/2007 10:44:41 AM PDT by davidosborne

Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....

http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862

I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org

.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter

Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.

I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

You’re the liar. You’re a Libertarian on a Conservative website, pushing a Conservative in Name Only candidate for president, who works as an apologist for al Qaeda out of ideological convictions.

People cross the party line all the time. Remember the Reagan Democrats. If you are running for president, you want as much support as you can. What’s the big deal?

When I think of "parasites", big-government burrocrats are just the enablers. Here's a few parasites that make it all happen:

Sure, like the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. Then you have Ron Paul supporters with MoveOn.org. Both want America defeated. Both will lose.

I can just imagine the kinds of political opinions a "soccermom" might have held when she was 21 like Karsten is. Actually, this soccermom was probably at her most conservative when she was 21. Well, I would say I'm just as conservative now -- just not gung-ho reactionary the way I was back then. I understand your point that people can change ---- but that many times in 3 years?

"And yet, he does articulate a good small-government, liberty, sound-economy agenda. He is, in fact, delightfully typical of our younger RP supporters, excited by a message that we once heard from Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich and from the great Austrian economists." First of all, I would disagree that RP has the same message as Reagan or Gingrich. Second, Karsten may be articulating those principles here. but that is not the message he was proposing to take to Moveon.org. The fact is, he advocated trolling for Moveon.org moonbats and he advised people to bring the anti-war material. (I didn't see him anxious to spread the small government principles over at the Moveon.org rally.) If he were the idealistic, enthusiastic kid you seem to think he is, he wouldn't be selective about his message and his audience. His are the actions of a cynical, manipulative Paul operative.

Just yesterday, you and EEE were whining that this thread was sooooooooo unfair because it was guilt-by-association. This guy doesn't represent Ron Paul etc. Then he comes on here, schmoozes a little with the conservative line, makes his Moveon.org stuff disappear and we're supposed to all buy into the RP is a conservative sales pitch? "But our message is a classic conservative Republican message of liberty and small-government. Exactly as Kirsten and his Meetup comrade, theoreticalgirl, have shown in their posts here." LOL! And is that the same "message" he trots out at the Moveon.org events? Not according to what he posted! Sorry, you can't have it both ways. If RP activists are going to recruit at moonbat events, you can't turn around and whine when we link RP to moonbats.

America can only be “defeated” from within, by the neocon warmongers and “both wings of the War Party” (I’m quoting Pat Buchanan here)

“Reagan Democrats” won’t support a CUT & RUN pseduo-conservative. Weakness in the face of diversity was never a selling point of Reagan.

The bull your shoveling was the same that Mr. Peanut ran on, so it’s the CLINTON-CARTER DUmocrats the Paul campaign is seeking by courting MoveOn flakes.

She registered today. She uses “G” “D” in her post. Again, Ron Paul attracts cranks and weirdos. The case is proved by their own words.

“Just don’t let it happen again.”

I will try to stick to emotions rather than facts from now on, but using facts is a very old habit of mine. It will be hard to break.

The moonbats are scraping the bottom of the barrel these days....

It's not too bright to flame-out on your "first day"!

It’s amazing, really. They hate the conservatives here and call us neo-cons, yet they’re more than willing to make common cause with many weirdos, like the Moveon.org crowd.

What can you expect with people who are morally so craven they would rather fight with good conservatives than with Leftists and Democrats.
