CINCINNATI, Aug. 24 A 10-year-old boy who said he hated snakes killed a 10-foot python at petting zoo by stomping on the reptile's head.
Scott Braunstein, a reptile handler who brought the snake to the St. Bernadette Festival in Amelia, Ohio, last weekend, said he was shocked by the boy's violence, The Cincinnati Enquirer said Thursday.
The snake, named Popcorn, was a non-poisonous albino Burmese python.
Braunstein, who operates House of Reptiles in Dry Ridge, Ky., said the boy approached him and told him that he hated snakes. The child then raised his leg and stomped down on the snake's head, Braunstein said.
A man believed to be the boy's father grabbed the child and said, "This is why I don't take you anywhere," before disappearing into the crowd, the newspaper said.
"I have never, never had anything like that happen," Braunstein told the newspaper.
A few years ago while taking a walk I saw a young boy body slam a dog and had no problems yelling at him. Told the manager where I live because I knew she knew his parents and the little brat got into big time trouble by parents and the manager!
Sounds like Popcorn wasn't this kid's first kill.
nice kid. hope his parents are getting him psychological help.
Hope dad is sued big time and kid is ordered into therapy. Someone needs to keep a serious eye on this scary kid. From dad’s comments, the kid has done sick things in the past. He’s well on his way to growing up to be a serial killer or worse.

Bet this started when this boy was young and could be the cause of the way he is now.
A man believed to be the boy’s father grabbed the child and said, “This is why I don’t take you anywhere,” before disappearing into the crowd, the newspaper said.
That’s it? How about putting the kid to work to earn money to pay for the snake? Alot of parents I know have made their kids pay for things they broke (although I don’t know anyone with a child as vicious as this one). How about grounding him til he’s thirty after he gets the butt-whooping of his life? The adult with the child obviously had absolutely no control over him.
Good snake.
I believe it’s a safe prediction we’ll be seeing this kid “in the news” again someday, perhaps on “America’s Most Wanted”.
And the ethics and morals of a snake. Running away from the responsibility of his son's actions teaches his son to be irresponsible.
he’s a Child, what did this guy expect; kids do crazy things (was it property distruction, and wrong Yes), but he’s only a kid!
Dad avoided that law suit. Anyone know what an albino Burmese python costs?
Oops spelled destruction “distruction”..I am very tired and have a cold, so forgive me, my head isn’t working right now..!

The only good kind is a dead one!
ROFL
I agree. When we were kids we found a large snake in our backyard. Kids being kids we set out to beat it to death. "We" were 5 or 6 kids from 3 different families. As far as I know, none of us ended up serial killers. The kid in the story did a stupid childlike thing. That's all.
