Death penalty, followed by three consecutive life sentences. Meaning that after he is executed, he still has three life sentences left. The scumbag should be executed immediately.

I sure would not want to be that judge and required to address all the laws, details, and mandates necessary to sentance that scum. Nor would I want to be any of the court officers. All of whom have to keep their composure during the reading of this gastly and sickening crime. Any infraction of their composure could cause a mistrial or complications. Who can handled that? Let alone the family listening to all of this even if they already knew all t he details. The Death sentance is an easy way out for that scum.

INVERNESS, Fla. — The man convicted of kidnapping and raping 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford is scheduled to be sentenced today.
According to a recorded jailhouse conversation, John Couey expects to be sentenced to death.
A Miami jury convicted Couey of taking the girl from her bedroom to his nearby trailer in 2005, where he raped her and buried her alive. Her body was found about three weeks after she disappeared in a grave in Couey’s yard.
The same jury brushed aside pleas for mercy and a life sentence from defense lawyers. They claimed Couey is mentally retarded and suffers from chronic mental illness.
Jurors have recommended a death
I was just watching the court room sentencing. The family looked very relieved. Don’t let this guy waste any more oxygen. Execute him quickly!

It sounds like this is a completely death penalty worthy case.

Justice will be served if he’s raped and then wrapped in plastic and buried alive. THAT would be justice.

Wow. Seeing this thread made me look up who that guy is, just to see if his crime could justify a death sentence. And I got to admit, it does. Man, what a monster.
I still cannot understand how the police...who searched that trailer three...three times...never looked in Couey’s closet where he admitted he had her hidden. Wouldn’t any officer look in closets, under beds, etc. Did they expect to find Jessica just sitting in a chair? It simply boggles my mind.
Not really; not until God metes out HIS justice.
