I live in the Mpls/St.Paul area. It's not so much that they were sent here, but that they zeroed in on Minnesota, specifically for the welfare benefits. I read in the newspaper about ten years ago that the Somalians way over in AFRICA knew to come to RAMSEY COUNTY in Minnesota for the best benefits. Pretty sad huh? And we do have the largest population of Somalians in the country.
Also the apartment bldg. where the rape occured is mostly Somalian. The big slant now in the media is that the Somalians are 'so afraid' of police that they didn't report the crime. Right.

What do you think of this trend of police and city officials meeting with community leaders, as mentioned here. I watched one a Muslim spokesman on TV last night expressing that the FBI did not handle the release of those ferry photos in Seattle, right. They should have consulted with Muslim leaders, he said. I thought, wait a minute. Religious figures have no role in our law enforcement.Who says this has anything to do with religion? FBI doesn't need their permission.
One would think they could have done SOMETHING.
