God does care about his name.

Dueteronomy 5:11 “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

I am convinced that Islam and the coming Caliphate and the countries they conquer, is the "beast" spoken in the book of Revelation and the book of Daniel. The false prophet is Mohammed and the false religion is ISLAM.

Did anyone see the CNN program on "Islam" and the holy warriors miniseries? They showed the Islamic interpretation of the Madhi (Islamic Messiah) and said that Jesus will appear to uphold the Madhi and make the world turn to Islam. If you don't, you will be killed... beheaded. That's exactly what Revelation warns us of... even the elect may be fooled... if that were possible. Be warned.

The book of Daniel explains that the "beast" is a kingdom. That kingdom appears to be the reformed Roman empire... which when you view an ancient map... is Europe and the countries surrounding Israel.

The prophecies are being fulfilled before our eyes.

Allah is an idol, not God. To worship Allah is to practice idolatry.

Why not use the word Aton...the Egyptians worshiped a single sun god named Aton during the reign of the Pharaoh Akhenaton.

I picked this up some time ago... every appropriate.

Yahweh wants us to choose. Allah wants us to submit. One wants to be loved, the other feared. There may be a reason the Islamic prostration requires one to bow their head toward Hell while their posterior moons Heaven.--Author Unknown.

A lot of Anglophone Muslims do refer to Allah using God—and personally somewhat ambivalent about that trend.

Indeed, Allah does not provide any way for man to be reconciled to God.

Well, there's always suicide bombing.

And yet if you have read "The Last Battle," there is a Calormen youth who worshiped Tash at the end.

Though view this as C.S. Lewis' faulty view of Christianity (and generally vehemently don't support allegories--they contain flaws; keep the Bible in the Bible).

Because they live only for the moment, they are willing submit to anything, including Islam, as long as it doesn't interfere with the pursuit of pleasure today.

Line of the day.

There’s so much in the article and here that I don’t think I have enough time. Christianity has many pagan roots, the Bible went through its vetting for the official versions, there’s slavery and genocide in the Bible, etc.

Do agree with the central point though, the bishop is on crack. Why is it that Christians are always expected to accommodate? Where’s the reciprocity from the Muslims?

Most definitely NO!!! The God of the Christians and Jews does not reward some of his children for slaughtering other of his children. Allah, apparently, does.
