We are considering a move from Michigan to Bowling Green, Kentucky to work at the Corvette plant there. Anyone live in Warren county and can offer some insight? We presently live in Brighton, Michigan...

Mike,
I don’t live there but visited last summer for a couple of weeks. We loved it.

Thanks, I was there a few years ago. I'd like to hear from someone that lives there. Maybe that works at the GM plant....

You’ll need an up-to-date passport and visas before you can cross into the USA.
Just kidding, I served 8 years (2 tours) in SAC at Kincheloe and Wurtsmith-—never did adjust to that state.
My hometown is Nashville. I would take a good job in Bowling Green anytime.

Progressive laid back country college town. Good people. Be cool and don’t act like a yankee arsehole and you will love it and have the time of your life. Close enough to Nashville ya can to the big town stuff if that trips your trigger. Conservative bunch. Only liberals are some professor types @ Western but they pretty much stay in and smell each other’s toots. Bout 85 miles to the West is the best fishing on God’s good earth.
Go out 231 South and take a right on Plano road (622) It’s kinda a back way to Franklin KY and the housing will be cheaper out that way. It’s also on the same side of town as the plant. Now if the boonies bother ya... don’t go.
Bowling Green... Bowling Green... sexiest women i’ve ever seen! Ya sure are lucky if you live in Kentucky... Down around Bowling Green!
Now... get gone and make them Cor va tee tees

I graduated from Western a long time ago so my view is through a telescope, but I love all of Kentucky. It gets a bad rap, but it has moved into the 21st century. Good luck

First I am green with envy!
Second, I am much more familiar with Hart, Harden, Larue, and Meade counties, but ALL of KY is wonderful. I hope to move there. I visit once a year, and never want to return to a blue state when the two weeks is up.
You will love it!

You have to prove that your wife is at a minimum your first cousin.

My Nephew is currently serving Iraq and I went to visit his wife in Bowling Green July 2. Her father farms 7000 acres in the area and his home is just across I-65 from the Corvette plant. As it was July 2, they were preparing for a serious "hoe down". I was informed that the Corvette plant put on a nice fireworks display which was just over the tree line in
this picture of his front yard. As I'm a native of western Ky, I have to admit I'm biased, but the area has a lot to offer. It is small enough to have a "safe" feel to it, but as a college town, it has enough shopping and night life to keep you busy, too. The downtown area is going through a re-make and appears to be revitalized. Nashville, is just down the interstate and Mammoth Cave National Park is right next door, too. I love the area and look forward to visiting my Nephew and his wife regularly.
