“Conservatives like to be left alone.”
Take a poll of conservatives on this subject and you will find you’re dead wrong.
The reason those larger dogs aren't used in the type of dogfighting we see here in the states is because dogfight handlers need to be able to control fights by stepping in and lifting their dogs outta there at a moment's notice. Good luck doing that with a 180 lb. Neapolitan Mastiff or Tosa.
I had this problem once. When the city didn't stop it, I shot the dog at 3 AM in my front yard and bagged him up and put it in the trash bin, which was picked up the next day.
Thanks Mike.
There’s a marked difference between a dog (JRT) that will stand and deliver to save its owner and a pit bull that kills, because it know how to.
Wouldn’t you agree?
Something most people don’t understand about pitts and other dog attacks is this...most of the time it is a case of a dumb dog playing rough that don’t know his own strength and doesn’t know when to back off. Pitbulls like to play rough. Play oftentimes turns into a squabble and some aggressiveness. All the bulldog breeds have a common trait that they are immature and don’t know when enough is enough. They never learn how to play properly. But the other trait common to bulldog breeds is an intense loyalty to a master and submissiveness. They are, after all, babies, mentally, and will do whatever the pack elders say. Other dog breeds have one of two responses to bulldog breeds(generally), they either see them as juveniles to be coddled, or see them as juveniles to be punished.
Have you ever seen a dog play with a rabbit to the point the rabbit is killed? or a cat, or a rat, or any little furry animal? This is how bulldog breeds fight. They do it because they like to. They do it because they don’t know when to quit. When a person is mauled by a pitt, quite often, the pitt is not trying to kill the person, but just playing with the person like a rag doll or a half dead rabbit.
Use this info to your benefit incase you should ever be mauled by a pitt. Be stern with your voice. Be an authority figure. Do not touch the dog. Touching invites rambunctious play that turns into a mauling. You are not as strong as a pitt and cannot man handle one like you can a poodle.
I meant...
Don’t worry about it! I normally handle pits with a 222, they never whimper.
Thanks again, Mike.;)
yeah
I will remember your advice next time I am mauled by a pit bull. NO NO BAD DOG! NO NO BAD DOG!
That should do it!
Yep.
The reason why the small pitts are the favorite in pitt fights is because of the exitement and the duration of the fight. Big dogs move slow and tire quickly. Compare Oscar De Lahoya(sp?) vs george foreman. A george foreman fight is boring. He’s tuckered out in one miniute and can barely move. Put two ocars against one george, and george won’t have a snoballs prayer in hades.
S.S.S.
;-)
You made me chuckle.
Jack Russells in no way, shape or form have the temperment of a Pit Bull.
Romeo was probably trying to save the poor woman. Jacks are feisty when it comes to defending humans.
If mauled by a pitt, I’ll pull my Smith and drain the cylinder in his face.
You are showing your ignorance of pitts. Your judgement is clouded by your fear of them.
Pit bulls . . . the Muslims of the canine world.
Pretty soon someone will come in and defend the poor misunderstood creatures.
They belong in zoos.
I would too, if I had one in my hand at that moment.
The more pit bulls, the more fly-by-night towing garages, the more fly-by-night towers with pit bulls, ...
