What about the jack russel terriers like the one named romeo in this story? Those are essentially miniature pit bulls in terms of personality.

You made me chuckle.

Jack Russells in no way, shape or form have the temperment of a Pit Bull.

Romeo was probably trying to save the poor woman. Jacks are feisty when it comes to defending humans.

You are showing your ignorance of pitts. Your judgement is clouded by your fear of them.

Baby pitts are cuter than that little thing. Your picture proves nothing.

We have a 4 yr old female JRT that can be very aggressive to strangers until they show her they are harmless. She has’nt bit anyone but there have been times when I thought she might.

I LOVE your JR! We sleep with 3 of those little guys on our bed at night. We have never been attacked by pit bulls in our sleep and I am sure our protective layer of JR’s is the reason, that and the fact that we don’t have a doggy door.

Very true. The Jack Russell terriers my in-laws have and have had are hyper, crazy animals who engage in dominance displays to every visitor, even those who have visited multiple times, like me. Of course, the real problem is their indulgent owners.

I have been bit by a Jack Russell several times. Pit is still only guilty of some over anxious play bites. Never drew blood and looked sheepish after I let him know his mouth was in the wrong place.

I have pitbulls. i rescue and train them.

I have been bitten twice in my life. Both times by Jack Russells.

Ever see JRTs compete in a race? They are the only competition dog that needs to be muzzled.
