Sorry to bother, Im having trouble downloading this (slow system). A question for those that have viewed this, I have a question. As someone that lost a friend (and relative) in the Twin Towers, should I spend my time? Would this help me or just bring up thoughts that, perhaps, shouldnt be brought up?
Serious question.
doc,
You would know your feelings best. All I will say is that it is raw video, pretty powerful.
I think it will bring up things you might not want to think about. A woman filmed the footage and you can tell that she was, understandably, emotionally distraught and bewildered. The video will bring you right back to September 11th. It’s hard to believe that six years have passed already.
There is nothing new here. I am not able to answer your personal question.
A couple had a camera and recorded 26 minutes of the disaster from their apartment windows near the WTC.
I had worked at Sun Microsystems in 2000 and was acquainted with Phil Rosenswieg. We shared an occasional lunch together. He was on Flight 11.
I am sorry you lost someone you loved.
It’s basically a view from the 30th or so floor of another building, from someone’s livingroom. They’re maybe 10 blocks away or so. The hardest part for me was hearing the anguished cry of the woman who was doing the recording as the towers fell. It really tore at my heartstrings. A woman shouldn’t have to cry like that at something done by man. :(
Very sad! Angering! Shaking head... I can’t say that you must watch this, but you probably know that you will need to watch it regardless of what I say.
My sincere sympathy to you and your family for your loss. The grief in this poor woman’s voice (in the video) is testament to what this must have been like for those nearby.
God Bless!
