Very simple....we print the card tags with the disabilty on them.

Or we get the AMA and the APA to list Chronic Jealousy Disorder as a legitimate illness and issue everyone a blue placard.

My husband was blind and we had handicap license. He sat in the car most of the time when I would go into the stores.

I always parked in the closest to the door, because he was afraid that someone might try to attack him if we were further out in the lot.

I never had a moment of guilt.

What would that accomplish? The particular disability is nobody's business.

Print the handicapped tags with the car's license plate number on it. That would keep people from borrowing others' tags. Problem solved.

HIPPA does not allow that.

Keep in mind you don’t have to be driving. I know people with a disable or mobility difficult family member and they use the tag when transporthing that person.

I think most of these are busy bodies.

How crippled does a person have to be to pass the holier than thou police?

...and include a photo of the person. I'm sure we've all seen young, energetic people use these spaces, then zip into a store. The extent of abuse of these placards is appalling.
