LOS ANGELES—An immigration activist who sought refuge inside a Chicago church for a year was arrested in Los Angeles this afternoon after taking her campaign on the road. Elvira Arellano was arrested about 4:15 p.m. Chicago time by law-enforcement officials after leaving Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in downtown Los Angeles, said Emma Lozano, an adviser who was there during the arrest. After talking to news media inside the church, Arellano and her supporters got into their van to head north to San Jose, where she was scheduled to speak at another church, Lozano said. Moments after they entered the van, an unmarked vehicle stopped them.

Next chapters in this sordid saga:

1. Some RAT literary agent arranges a book contract for her.

2. “I, Elvira” is published to rave reviews.

3. Elvira wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is especially good news...They were cultivating her to become some social martyr to show all the injustice all the illegals have had to endure. Of course this is all just propaganda for those attempting to completely undermine this country and our borders.

I'm just very curious, and trying to find who the arresting agency was.

Those in charge in Chicago allowed her to stay in that church for over a year, and then allowed her to exit the church and enter a vehicle. I understand they drove all the way to LA, with the hopes of parading around they’re latest martyr in an effort to gain sympathy and support for the invasion.

"Everyone knew it was probably a question of when, not if " she would be arrested, said Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. "It just made me feel really sad because she knows she's looking at time in prison. I feel bad for her and for her child and for all the other people in that situation." Hoyt said he met Arellano nearly three years ago after she was arrested in a sweep of undocumented immigrants working at O'Hare International Airport.”

Hey you Joshua Hoyt, she was caught using FAKE Social Security Number to work at the city’s O’Hare Airport.! How would you call this according to our laws?

This good news requires a glass of vine!

She's nothing but criminal scum. Not sure, but I believe this criminal has other warrants and outstanding charges pending. They were grooming her to be the big spokesperson for the illegal aliens. She should have been hooked up long ago.

This was just more in your face lawlessness and it's about damn time someone put this criminal behind bars.

So now she's leaving the bogus "sanctuary" of the church in an apparent effort to force the issue. My best guess is that she realizes that to be a Rosa Parks figure, you have to get arrested like Rosa Parks was arrested.

"She thought someone who comes here to work hard at night so she can support her child is not a criminal."

That's the argument being pushed by the "social justice" branch of the Catholic Church. They conveniently forget the OTHER section of that part of the Catechism---the one about each nation having the right to determine who enters and stays.

I hope this kind of thing is the only prodding cities and states need to go ahead and arrest these criminals. I think many immigration officers have shown restraint for fear of the ACLU or someone coming down on them. Maybe if they see that, yeah, one CAN do his job and actually make a difference, and the usual suspects can only bitch and moan, we might make some progress.

It would help, of course, if the president made a comment in support of this kind of thing, though I'm not betting on it.

Excuse my ignorance, and/or forgetfulness, but what was the denomination of this church? Baptist? Lutheran? RC? Church of the Terminally Hip?
