More than two years after enraging right-wing groups by ordering Terry Schiavo's feeding tube removed, George Greer still peers over his shoulder nervously at times.
In fact, the Florida judge told a rapt audience Friday at the American Bar Association's annual meeting, he even used an alias when he registered at his San Francisco hotel on this trip.
Two years ago, he said, someone in the Bay Area threatened to kill him over his decision to end life support for the brain-damaged Schiavo. And even though that person was prosecuted and jailed, Greer said, he's taking no chances.
"It is a little unnerving," he said. "I still can't see a strange car come down my street without wondering [who's behind the steering wheel]."
Greer talked about he and his wife had to be placed under 24-hour watch after Operation Rescue posted their home address and phone number on its Web site. All of their mail was checked by authorities and on one occasion dead flowers were delivered to their condominium with a note reading, "No Food, No Water" — a reference to Schiavo.
"It got to the point," Greer said, "that we felt a little trapped in our apartment."
I don’t like evil either. But we have brought it on ourselves. Some where we left decision making up to the government and courts.
Terri was put in the middle of money. Her husband should have divorced her before getting on with his life. I have read that the parents wanted some of the money and when he refused, they used Terri to get back at him.
The judge followed the law. Her husband was still her guardian. Therefore the decision was his to end her life.
Terri is the one I pray for.
Should anyone want to hate, then hate what was done to her.
The Lord will deal with those responsible in his way and his time not ours.
The parents wanted the money to provide for Terri AFTER they realized Michael was going to use it to work to get rid of her, permanently. Mind you, THEY WERE TAKING CARE OF TERRI AND PROVIDING for MICHAEL during the time prior to the MONEY REWARD, but as soon as Terri's creepy husband got the $$$$$, and I MEAN WITHIN DAYS, he used it to hire a lawyer in order to put her to death...even had her, after a series of nursing homes (he kept moving her from one to another as workers realized what a sick human he was and is) dumped into a hospice facility , a place for the TERMINALLY ILL.
Imagine that, for a moment.
Then imagine the rules a hospice allowed that monster to level. Things so cruel it makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. He forbade her to be wheeled OUTSIDE, EVER. He forbade her blinds to be up so that she could see TV. He forbade favorite pictures, NEVER even brought her beloved cat for her to cuddle (because he had it killed. He fought EVERY test to see if she could swallow (although she LOVED to suck on washcloths soaked in liquid jello as I mentioned-a nurse got FIRED for doing this for Terri) etc, etc, etc.
Of course, when that monster was going for the million plus bucks, he kept his slave in great shape-hair done, make-up applied, outings to the malls....YOU NAME IT!
But she HAD TO BE HIDDEN in a hospice (his attorney worked in a s volunteer to assist those in death throes) in order to keep the public from seeing her enjoy life, had to break her spirit in order to hasten death and supra needed to make the case that she was dying.....the word hospice being the magic code here. By the way, because she was a healthy human being, it
took Terri THIRTEEN DAYS OF INTENSE SUFFERING FOR THE LACK OF WATER AND FOOD TO HAVE MICHAEL's DESIRED RESULT.
And as for following the law, judges must follow the law, and they have leeway to include or exclude information.
greer is involved with the movers and shakers in his community, ie the Rotary Club he belongs to meets at the scientology headquarters, and was much praised for seeing Terri's life as a wasted life.
What this judge decided to exclude in determining the LIFE AND DEATH of a human being was astounding. And evil.
He could have DECIDED differently.
He could have decided that Michael's actions denoted a man not in love with his wife and in particular, uncaring about his wife.
He could have chosen to go with LOVE.
He could have given the care of Terri to her parents, who wanted her, who loved and still love her.
Terri's so called wishes not to live a handicapped life were always in dispute, with one of Michaels old girlfriends even saying " he did not know what to do with her".
There were MANY things this judge could have done to prevent the horrible, horrible, ghastly, creepy and truly evil decison to murder and the manner in which it was determined Terri was to die.
You obviously are unfamiliar with the case from the personal side.... the actual events prior to and during Terri's abusive husband spun his evil web leveled his venom. Therein lies the horror of this show.
Understand, evil exists and I believe it breaths within michael the monster, george felos and greer.
That's a strawman, in light of the fact that the laws were not followed in Terri's case. Judge Greer was not legally elected, having failed to file the proper paperwork in time for the election, and having illegally used government property and employees in his campaign. The law clearly outlined the circumstances under which assisted feeding and hydration may be ceased, and Terri clearly didn't fall within those guidelines. The law forbids the denial of food and water by mouth, but Judge Greer issued an order denying Terri food and water by mouth. The guardianship laws were violated on a continuing basis, with the blessing of Judge Greer. The Americans With Disabilities Act was violated repeatedly, with the blessing of Judge Greer. There is a long list of laws that were violated in pursuit of killing Terri. The bottom line is, it was illegal to kill her. Writing new laws wouldn't have prevented the new laws from being violated the same way the old laws were. New laws won't bring her back to life.
You should know.
Where I come from, it is a good thing to dispise and hate evil acts.
This is a case about a woman who has been in a deep comma for a very long time with no realistic chance of recovery.
It was time for a decision to be made.
The courts ruled from Judge Greer all the way to the Supreme Court and back down to Judge Greer that the decision rested with the family. In this case the husband.
I think it is great that the Supreme Court ruled that the decision rested with the family.
What the family chooses to do is the business of the family.
The family decided what path to go down. The courts protected the rights of the family.
Now some around here hate the Judge for protecting the rights of families to decide because they wanted the Judge to replace the choice of the husband with their instructions.
Where I come from, folks have enough humility to think that they are not the only ones to think that it is a good thing to despise and hate evil acts.

The seminar focused on what happened to Greer and three other judges following controversial rulings: Greer told horror stories about death threats and being under 24-hour police protection.
Even as he spoke, though, Greer’s name, home city and, worst of all, the hotel in which he was staying were listed in a 116-page booklet handed out to everyone registered for the event. The booklet had the same information for everyone else attending the 6-day meeting.
On page 39, Greer is listed as staying at the San Francisco Marriott. Page 4 provides the hotel’s address and telephone number. Why not provide limo service too?
So while Greer thought he was safe, he’d probably have been better off wearing fake glasses and a mustache. And on the next trip, he might want to alert the ABA registration staff to his predicament.
I suggest you thumb through the vast volume of threads and posts, like the Terri Dailies on what happened to understand that what happened went deeper than the mantras of the MSM which you quote. I realize you mean well enough so rather than carry on with this frail basis I do suggest you do just a little research. You would very quickly realize the overwhelming facts that Terri was not in a coma, could have recovered, and was murdered. MSM mantras have not been able to broach those incontrovertible facts in the last two years, so you stand little chance with just a fistful of worn out mantras.
Please taste your words first lest you be smothered in facts.
He didn't respect life! I guess at long last, karma bites him. Why is a judge at an AMA meeting? Is he a doctor too? Doctor of doom whose only experience was as a zoning commissioner. His life is ruined and he did it to himself but WHO FOR? Karma will get everyone on Terri's hit squad. What goes around comes around or there are always the commandments: THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Georgie Greer.

He’s suffering from paranoia now. He has a pale optic nerve and has a driver. He doesn’t tell attorneys with pleadings that he cannot see if he wants them to lose. The ones who know make their documents to accommodate his disability. Terri got death, no accommodation. Judge Greer is one of her murderers.
It is worth noting that MILLIONS OF TERRI SUPPORTERS THE WORLD OVER DID NOT THREATEN GREER. If he is paranoid now, that is partly his conscience. Who made him sign the death warrant? That person is probably doing okay right now but apparently, he’s suffering. I pity him. No wonder Calvary Baptist kicked him out.
Sandra Day O’ Connor luvs Judge Greer. She was on the SCOTUS when they turned down Terri’s appeal. All will be exposed someday. All.
His wife babies him and is very defensive of him. That would be hard to do year in and year out. Terri’s dead. It was by his pen and lots of blood money was passed all around. He was used. Terri's death was an example of JUDICIAL TYRANNY. Greer is the face of judicial tyranny whether he wants to be or not.

I pity him cuz the party’s over for him. The awards and accolades are slowing down. He is facing life without accolades. Without all the praise, he is facing what he did. He was a patsy, a small man. He lost his integrity and shallow awards can never restore that. HE MURDERED TERRI (so did RINOs and the aclu and HINO, but he’s the face).
