More than two years after enraging right-wing groups by ordering Terry Schiavo's feeding tube removed, George Greer still peers over his shoulder nervously at times.
In fact, the Florida judge told a rapt audience Friday at the American Bar Association's annual meeting, he even used an alias when he registered at his San Francisco hotel on this trip.
Two years ago, he said, someone in the Bay Area threatened to kill him over his decision to end life support for the brain-damaged Schiavo. And even though that person was prosecuted and jailed, Greer said, he's taking no chances.
"It is a little unnerving," he said. "I still can't see a strange car come down my street without wondering [who's behind the steering wheel]."
Greer talked about he and his wife had to be placed under 24-hour watch after Operation Rescue posted their home address and phone number on its Web site. All of their mail was checked by authorities and on one occasion dead flowers were delivered to their condominium with a note reading, "No Food, No Water" — a reference to Schiavo.
"It got to the point," Greer said, "that we felt a little trapped in our apartment."

When you read the part about judging, read the whole message, not just a little snippet. We are instructed to cast out the mote out of our brother’s eye. We are instructed to know them by their fruits. There is much to learn from God’s Word, and it pleases Him when we share that Word. Twisting His Word to suit Satan’s purpose is never a wise move.

I hope I never have to watch my child be murdered. I hope I never have to depend on the mercy of someone who has no mercy. I hope all my posessions are never stolen from me. There are many adversities in life that I hope I never have to face. The answer to adversity is not murder.

AN OPEN NOTE TO GREER
When you starve TO DEATH a woman whose very injury was highly suspect,
when you deny the parent's massively in court by refusing to hear the depositions of nurses ( among others ) who spoke out in taped depositions regarding Terri's monster husband's disgusting treatment of Terri,
when you withhold water and food from a person who is NOT terminally ill,
when you force a mother and father who love and desire to care for their handicapped daughter to stand by and watch, powerlessly, while their daughter suffers terribly from want of water and food for days upon days until death reached out embraced her, forcing these marvelous parents the ABSOLUTE horror of the drawn out process of Terri's horrendous suffering as her skin began cracking, lesions forming, bleeding and discoloration of extremities occuring as her body fought to protect the inner organs, not to mention forcing them to observe the inner desparation their daughter experienced, unable to cry out and speak for herself,
when you order police officers to search her parents before they can visit Terri as she is dying to MAKE CERTAIN they are not sneaking in ice chips in order to sooth her cracking and bledding lips and mouth,
when you act as YOU acted Judge Greer, a man who NEVER EVEN VISITED TERRI, NOT ONCE, yet laid her death sentence via CRUELTY (would not a simple shot, offered to the worst of criminals been, at least, HUMANE?)---what in the hell do you EXPECT?
You are a MONSTER, Greer.
And AT LEAST you have water and food in your home. Even tho YOU have a handicap FAR WORSE than Terri's----you are missing a heart.
And I hope you never feel safe---you certainly saw to it that Terri got to feel unsafe every day of her life after her so called accident.
You have much to answer for Greer----not everyone is a scientologist like your buddies there in Tampa area, you may get backslapped by those freaks who believe in immediate disposal of the less than perfect folks, but even our President recognized the evil you and the monster and the vampire felos were leveling.
You will NEVER get sympathy from those who know what you did.
If you have a conscience, Greer, that alone will keep you miserable for the rest of you life. Not too hateful, considering what you did to Terri and her family and our nation.

Where I come from, it is a good thing to dispise and hate evil acts.
While it doesn't happen too often, I have seen these Bible quoting Atheists pop up on FR before.
I suspect that the longer this thread lasts, the further "outed" this individual will become. They just can't help themselves.
The beauty of FR is that they always "bring a knife to a gunfight", and either eventually disappear like a whipped dog, with their tail between their legs, or they lose it completely, and really let their true "personality" shine, resulting in the loss of their posting privileges.
Well, even if you do get chocolate jesus, of any size — the “inside track” is for you to find — no one, no Oral Roberts, no Wilt Chamberlin, can stand in your stead. The light is within.

Let me tell you about Mark.
He is the kindest man I have ever known.
He has stood by my side in very difficult times.
When my son, (Mark’s step son) burned himself really bad
Mark was there for him. He helped my son heal physically and emotionally.
He has the most forgiving heart I have ever known.
He has strong lifetime friendships. I have never heard any one say an unkind word about Mark.
We have been married going on twelve years and he has never once said an unkind word to me. When I was very ill he took good care of me also. He believes forgiveness is the start of healing. Hate just festers and destroys the soul.
My dad once told me “hate is like an acid and eats away at the container it is stored in”. My dad was right. The judge should have never been the decision maker in the first place.
When we don’t like the law maybe we should work to change it not condemn those who are put in a position to decide for us. Perhaps that is what is wrong with our country today. We let others decide for us. Then we cry when the decision is different then the one we wanted.
I love Mark, though his posting are silly at times he does have a forgiving heart and is a good man. I wouldn’t change him if I could.
He should be trapped in PRISON instead of his apartment. What a HEARTLESS HORRIBLE human being.
I certainly hope he goes to the many threads that ran during the horrendous death Terri suffered, and that he especially goes to the prior threads that spoke to the astoundingly cruel and shocking treatment Terri received from her husband AFTER he got money via a lawsuit for her future care.
Ask him, please, to do this, then to come back here, revive this thread, and state whether evil, genuine, insidious evil was not leveled by judge greer.
To dispise and hate evil acts is absolutely right.
I do not wish greer death, of course, but I have no sympathy for his plight. And I know, in my heart and soul, that our Father in in control of all ultimate justice.
None of us can survive when hate fills our hearts and souls, it does fester and always finds a way to seep out.
To forgive is divine.
To act out against evil is right, to do nothing is inexcusable.
Fighting evil is not lack of forgivness, fighting evil is part of being a Christain.
Hating evil acts is absolutely OK in this house. It is a good place to park passionate anger and outrage, a gift from God, a precious part of the human experience.
