This is attack is so “Swift Boat” its not even funny. The only reason Guiliani is even running is because he was the hero of 9-11. Take away that and you have just another liberal mayor. I should be in politics. Anyone have Karl Rove’s digits? :)
To: asparagus
Karl was talking about Fred's campaign the other day in the Washington Post... :)

“Rudy should get out of the race now and save whatever reputation he has remaining before it becomes completely shredded”
Good suggestion, but Rudy’s ego won’t allow it.

I don’t need to care what the press says about a liberal...

I’m pro life partly because I despise the politics of those who are pro choice. I’m starting to feel the same about those who are so rabidly pro life that they would cut their nose off despite their face and allow Hillary to become president. She will probably nominate at least 2 socialists to the Supreme court!
I have felt the same way about prolife radicals for some time now. They haven't a nit's worth of moral discernment. Life presents us with a hierarchy of goods (and evils). We are rarely presented with moral choices that are entirely black and white. Sometimes we have to compromise with our principles to advance a greater good. The self-righteousness and ignorance of certain prolifers makes them blind to these facts.

Wonder why thye didn’t audit his time at the WTC site between 01— and 9-17?
Why not include the time he spent at the funerals of Firemen and cops?
That would go into the hundred if not over a thousand hours.

The arrogant mutt Rooty brought this on himself with his 'I was always at Ground Zero comment'. If he didn't think the MSM (or anyone) would actually check his schedule - he's a buffoon and an idiot, but I already knew that. There's a reason Gary Hart never became President

just oozing pity fall all the great citizens who eat this nonsense up.
A twofer. Hit the Yankees and Rudy with one shot.
But the Presdent gets a pass for throwing out the first pitch.
To: the invisib1e hand
“fall all” should be “for all,” for those in Rio Linda.

I dont think Rootie will get the NRA endorsement for 2008! :)

I also heard Giuliani on Hannity’s radio show claiming that he took every physical risk that the firefighters and rescue workers did.
Salon’s a liberal rag, but it’s Giuliani’s ridiculous hyperbole that made him a target here.

Your slander of anti-Giuliani pro-lifers aside, why do you assume that opposition to Giuliani must be based on abortion? Many here oppose him because of his anti-second-amendment views, or his abuse of fourth and fifth amendment protections, or a long line of other examples of his hostility to the Constitution, or his innate authoritarianism, or his long history appointing corrupt cronies, or his lack of foreign policy experience, or his double-talk....
The view that opposition to Giuliani centers solely on the abortion issue is a media-concocted strawman.

I am not assuming anything. I have problems with Guiliani myself, but I have just as many problems with one-issue anti-abortion people. I have voted for pro-choice republicans, even though I am against abortion unless the life of the mother is in jeopardy. Most one issue anti-aborts would castigate my strategic decision, as an unforgiveable compromise. I have been accused of being a RINO, a closet leftwinger, etc., by anti-Guiliani and/or prolife zealots. So my “slander” (actually libel, but not in a legal sense) of certain anti-Guiliani prolifers is just turnaround.

I wonder how many hours the REAL rescue workers spent at baseball games? I bet the answer is little or none.

Also, After the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, Clinton NEVER visited the site even when he was as close as New Jersey awhile later.
I always remind people of this when they complain about President Bush waiting four days to vist the WTC and New Orleans.
