Well.....it might be fun for Paul dectractors but even his strongest critics admit that he has nothing to do with encouraging this complaint, precisely the opposite. Now.....can we actually consider what Paul believes on the issues?

Of course he encourages it.

He himself said that "if" there are questions about the voting, then "the questions must be asked."

I like to look at how someone actually votes, not what they 'say'.. so, let's look at how Paul actually votes..

Ron Paul's Voting Record

Here are some ‘Conservative(sic)’ votes by Paul:

(of course, Paulites have an excuse for each of these.. something about Paul making a point of State versus Federal or there must be something in the bill he didn' like or the bill smelled like shrimp.. yadda, yadda, yadda.. if they were votes by anyone else, they would use the votes to prove that person was a RINO.)

Voted NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes.

Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research.

Voted NO on barring transporting minors to get an abortion.

Voted YES on funding for alternative sentencing instead of more prisons.

Voted NO on more prosecution and sentencing for juvenile crime.

Voted NO on military border patrols to battle drugs & terrorism.

Voted NO on allowing school prayer during the War on Terror.

Voted NO on allowing vouchers in DC schools.

Voted NO on passage of the Bush Administration national energy policy.

Voted NO on implementing Bush-Cheney national energy policy.

Voted YES on barring website promoting Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump.

Voted NO on speeding up approval of forest thinning projects.

Voted NO on reforming the UN by restricting US funding.

Voted NO on requiring lobbyist disclosure of bundled donations.

Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits about obesity against food providers.

Voted NO on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers

Voted NO on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse.

Voted NO on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1.

Voted NO on emergency $78B for war in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Voted NO on $266 billion Defense Appropriations bill.

Voted YES on more immigrant visas for skilled workers.

Voted YES on providing $70 million for Section 8 Housing vouchers.

Voted NO on promoting work and marriage among TANF recipients.

Voted NO on treating religious organizations equally for tax breaks.

Let's also not forget Paul's Pork Projects (that he voted for before he voted against when he calls them unconstitutional but he is just playing the game when he submits them because everyone else does it.. yadda yadda yadda..)

Oh, I long ago stated my opposition to Paul's issues - repeatedly. And my opinions were primarily met with personal insults from the Paulies.

I'm on vacation now. I'm just here for the fun.

You guys can be all serious and stuff if you want.

I'll get the popcorn going.

When asked about it, he responded this was a time to answer the question. That's not opposition to the complaint at all.

Interestingly the complaintants consisted of 1 registered Democrat, 2 registered independents, and 2 nonvoters. An indication of where his support lies. Not the Republican party.

More important, when asked about his plans for cabinet appointments he answered, honestly, he hadn't thought much about it but would probably do a bad job. Then he noted he had a lot of friends.

His friends and the nature of his supporters become an important issue since they will be the reservois of his administration.

HE: Follow-up -- thank you -- follow-up question. [Laughter] Take two minutes and tell me the people that you would name to your cabinet or to your official family.

RP: Probably,> I won’t do a very good job of that because I haven’t thought that through and there are certainly a lot of friends and –

HE: Well, before you name the cabinet people, what cabinet departments would you want to have remain?

RP: Well I guess we could have a Justice Department. I guess we could have a State Department, and I guess we could have a Defense Department, and maybe one or two others more but not many more than that. I mean… We need to think about a Republican form of government. I believe in a republic -- little “R” republic -- and we don’t need a Department of Education and a Department of Energy. We used to win elections on that but not any more. We doubled the size of all those programs.

I fear you didn't tell the whole truth Captain.

blockquote>The Iowa GOP said the straw poll is fraud-proof.

At a Creston restaurant, Paul greeted people Wednesday and hoped some of them would vote for him at the Ames straw poll.

"It's pretty important and if we do well, we'll certainly send a strong signal, but I have no idea how well I'll do," Paul said. "We're doing our very best," Paul said.

Paul campaign staffers acknowledge asking Iowa Republican leaders to count paper ballots in the straw poll as well as using voting machines.

They said the Diebold machines to be used have been decertified in other states.

On a Des Moines radio show, the leader of a group called Voterfraud.org., who is also a Paul supporter, threatened to file a lawsuit over the machines.

Paul said he doesn't know anything about a possible lawsuit and would not want one if it's frivolous.

"Everyone wants an honest election," Paul said. "So if there's a question, this is the time the question should be asked."

Clearly he and his campaign staff supported the questions raised by the suit.

Sure, let's do that.

He wants to lose the war in Iraq and is a hypocrite when he criticizes the authorization to depose Hussein because he voted for a broader authorization. I'll back that up if you wish.

He thinks he's for small government when he helps a constituent get over $2 million in federal dollars to renovate a theater--as long as he votes against the sure-to-pass appropriations bill he put the theater money in.

He is crazy enough to believe that our foreign policy caused 9/11.

He is crazy enough (and dumb enough) to entertain conspiracy theories about 9/11.

He is OK with people taking other people's daughters across state lines for abortions.

Shall I go on?

It might be helpful if you provided a link to prove this, as it sounds a lot like the author of this piece has information about how many tickets Paul’s campaign gave in exchange for promised votes!

That is a very valid point.

However, Dr. Paul does appear to attract more than his share of such people as supporters.

All candidates seem to attract some fanatical supporters that seem a bit divorced from reality, and sampling the actions of a few of them hardly makes them representative of Dr. Pauls supporters as a whole.

However, in my opinion Dr. Paul does attract more of these people because of his views on the issues.
