BLOOMY: QUIT IT, MITT; 'ALIEN' RANT HAS MIKE HOT (Romney: "no $$$ to cities protecting illegals")
NY POST ^ | August 14, 2007 | MAGGIE HABERMAN and CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 08/17/2007 5:33:28 AM PDT by Liz

Mayor Bloomberg told Mitt Romney to stop picking on immigrants. "Boy, let 'em come," Bloomberg said of immigrants. Romney referred to NYC as a "sanctuary city" that protects illegal aliens - even when Giuliani was mayor. Romney vowed to cut funding to cities that protect illegal aliens if elected president.

Maybe if Bloomberg had a family member lined-up and shot execution-style a la Newark, he'd sing a different tune.

“Romney vowed to cut funding to cities that protect illegal aliens if elected president.”

Now, that’s the right idea. You don’t enforce Federal law, you don’t get Federal money.

Did Bloomberg check with Rudy before making these statements? Rudy is trying to pretend like New York City is not the world’s largest illegal aliens magnet and never was.

Romney has struck gold. The more Bloomberg confuses “legal” with “illegal” the higher Mitt will go. I’m still hoping Thompson will jump in, but I could go with Romney or possibly Huckabee. I’m still waiting for Duncan Hunter to show that magic personality required for the electability factor.

More proof that New York City needs to be chopped off from the rest of the state. Arrogant, stupid moron, that Bloomberg is.

This Romney’s dream come true. Nanny Bloomberg, who is no longer even a RINO, is SO stupid that he thinks his criticism will soften Romney’s position. LOL!

Bloomberg resides in Bermuda on the weekends and doesn’t care in the least what happens to the U.S.

It would be nice to see NYC and Philly sliced off and slowly drift out to sea. :)

Geno’s is a lone island of sanity in that sh!t hole of a city.

We will import him to the USA and dispose of the rest.

More empty rhetoric to fill the empty heads of the idiot body politic.

So first it's Senators conducting foreign policy, then Congressmen commanding the armed forces in the middle of a hot conflict. Now we have a serious contender for the Oval Office thinking he controls monetary appropriations.

Bah, who needs the Constitution anyway.

I think Romney experience informed him about limited powers of the Fed Gov unless you want to be like the Dems and violate state rights!

There is a little thing called state sovereignty only a governor can do on some level can have say on Law enforcement.

Cutting funding to cities that protect illegal aliens is a good start in compliance!

"We don't have a future, we are going to lose the international battle to have science and education and medicine and creativity here if we don't have a constant influx of immigrants from around the world," Bloomberg said.

I'd like to see some enterprising reporter call Bloomberg and ask him to specify the contributions that illegal aliens have made to science and medicine.

Cause when you get right down to it, it's only about money.
