I was listening to the news out of the corner of my ear when I heard FreeRepublic specifically mentioned as a "hate site" about fifteen minutes ago.
Ostensibly the long report was about the Klan using the web to recruit new wackos. Then the focus turned to Casa Maryland, and their director who claimed that calls for his murder had circulated on the internet by anti-immigrant bigots. It was then that the anchor identified FR by name as a hate site.
Sheesh, don't sweat the small stuff. The libs are the enemy. Give an inch and they'll take a mile. I'm not going to worry about the "scabrous few." The libs are haters to the core! Piss on 'em!

It doesn’t surprise me that this site is being attacked in the same year Hillary is running for President. There’s a connection. We can’t have people telling the truth while she’s making a run for the White House. Any site that does that must be labled as hateful. That’s why this site is so important. I will just consider this as being power for the course, and I will expect more to come as people like Hillary become more powerful.

No, Jim, I'm not concerned that we're pissing off the libs, and I'm far from suggesting that we kiss their butts.
But I am concerned about FReepers who are handing the libs ammunition, while at the same time giving your site a black eye. They're the ones that folks like BOR and Fox News 5 have noticed. You can ignore them or not -- it's your site -- but they're there nonetheless.
I searched the site and so far it only looks killed. That will not be good enough the story still ran and it needs to be retracted.

Why else would Hillary Clinton order her files stored at a presidential library? She has them locked up in order to prevent us from diseminating the information.
The MSM would sit on such bad clinton stories the same way they sat on Monica. (remember Monica Lewinsky was actualy first rejected by the MSM, it was the net that spread the story for a full week before the media simly was forced to cover it. Dan Rather denied Mapes was complicit in document frauds.)
Even now most news flows through the NYC pipelines thanks to newspaper consolodation. The interenet, and FR forum operations, bypass that pipeline control.
We have to watchout for a “perfect storm” attack. We have the left which wants us silent to control their image, we have the MSM which wants to restore one way news communication, AND we have news MSM personalities that want to direct all internet traffed to their own personality sites as part of their advertising revenue stream. (note: NYT and WSJ apparently are about to drop the fees for their internet sites) ALL these are aligned against a FreeRepublic which is registered voter exchanging opinions and ideas with other registered voters. FreeRepublic.com is the largest ongoing liberty tree conversation since 1776.
Look, this hit piece was a total MADE-UP LIE. NONE of it is true. None of it represents anything ever posted to FR by anyone at any time, scabrous or not. Once you figure that out, come back and talk to me. In the meantime, there is an old expression we used to use in the navy... well, never mind.
