I was listening to the news out of the corner of my ear when I heard FreeRepublic specifically mentioned as a "hate site" about fifteen minutes ago.
Ostensibly the long report was about the Klan using the web to recruit new wackos. Then the focus turned to Casa Maryland, and their director who claimed that calls for his murder had circulated on the internet by anti-immigrant bigots. It was then that the anchor identified FR by name as a hate site.
[[The “I don’t hate anybody” people are immediately added to the list of people I hate.]]
I suppose I could hate you for that IF I hated people in the first place lol
That was, absolutely, my wish! I was going to send a “comment”, but maybe a bunch of other folks had the same idea. We can certainly hope!
Your problem with FR has been fixed.
The following comes up by searching “Gustavo Torres”...a few posts in the last two articles mention guns in response to Torres saying he will go after children at their schools, et al...he basically twisted what was said towards his group as personal threats to him...I think..that’s my take on it anyway..

A Maryland-based immigrant-advocacy group is distributing guidebooks instructing those targeted by federal immigration agents during job-site raids not to cooperate with authorities if they are arrested or detained. The eight-page, two-color illustrated book lists what rights “people who are not United States citizens” have if detained by immigration agents, details what to do if served with a warrant or charged with a crime, and urges them to remain silent if they are arrested. The book also says they should refuse to provide authorities with any information about their immigration status. Included in the book is a “Know Your Rights” card...

Casa de Maryland, a taxpayer funded group that assists illegal immigrants, has made a public threat to the children of the grassroots Minuteman Civil Defense Corps that have made headlines since last fall monitoring day labor centers in the Washington DC area. An article published yesterday by the Sean Sands of Maryland Community Newspapers Online quoted Casa de Marylands Executive Director Gustavo Torres saying We are going to picket their houses, and the schools of their kids and go to their work. If they are going to do this to us, we are going to respond in the same way,...

A Maryland organization that runs four government-funded day-labor hiring centers is training volunteer “legal observers” to videotape members of the Minuteman border security group and to picket their homes, places of work and their children’s schools. “We are going to target them in a specific way,” Gustavo Torres, executive director of Casa de Maryland told the Maryland Gazette, speaking of the Minutemen volunteers who have set up a surveillance site across the street to discreetly photograph contractors who pick up day laborers at the center. Going out with their own cameras will only be the first step his group takes....

Folks, if you don’t like FR, change the channel. It’s that easy.
And those that let the MSM tell them what to think wouldn’t have much interest in joining us here anyway. For anyone else, curiosity might lead them here and they will make up their minds on their own.
LOL...nice one.
I also hate Totino’s pizza. And those cheap, greasy hot dog wieners you get at the grocery store.
Bottom line avoid the word immigrant in these discussions, as the other side then thinks the writer is against all immigration. No we are against ILLEGAL ALIENS who enter/invade this country.
Day labor battle brewing: Minutemen, Casa of Maryland set stage for showdown in Takoma Park
"..Then we are going to picket their houses, and the schools of their kids, and go to their work,Torres said..."
That lead to this post:
"..So how does Casa de Maryland plan to find out where the Minutemen's kids go to school?
The only way I can figure is that Casa will have people following the children as they walk to school.
I wonder if Takoma Park Police will go after the Casa people who are stalking young children?

Where I come from, this is a declaration of war. Threatening our children is completely out of line, even for the criminal alien lobby. I wonder if the Quisling Brigade will come around to defend these disgusting threats by criminal aliens?
And the post on the screen:

I have a rule you make my child cry, I will make you cry!
I can just feel it: the economy, tension in the air, we have a huge powderkeg and lots of people are juggling matches
There is no chance whatever that the reporter did not see what provoked the poster and knew that the so called "veiled threats" are understandable reactions to Torres's thug tactics. This was a vile hatchet job or Free Republic.
Please let me know the name of the archor and the location of the news channel if you can.
Amen, brother. I really, really, HATE winter.
I don’t know how to post what I posted as links....:(
lol
To paraphrase William F. Buckley...I prefer to get my news from the first dozen Robinsons in the Fresno phone book than the newsroom at FOX 5 in New York.
(Hey, that’s a new tagline!)
Thanks, see Post 250.
I’d say that’s very good advice, Jim.
Sherri Ly...Fox 5 DC, Link to channel and video back at article at beginning of thread
I did, and was just going to post thanks and good job to you and KS Flyover
